Just buy canned food. WAAAAY cheaper, ready to eat and you can use the cans for cooking or making candles.
True.
The expiration date on cans is shorter than MRE's
@@Anonymous-tl6zu No one in their right mind is staying in their bunker / basement for 25 years!
@David Wilson dance in radiation my friend have fun.
@@DavidWilson-hd6iz there are some that would, as if willing an apocalypse to happen.
That bit of gum is not desert it is a type of laxative because MRE’s will back you up in just a few days without it.
Dont forget some magnesium in your bag as well if your planning on eating MREs for a longer than 4 day duration due to them backing you up
Yupp been there. They are designed to stop you up too. If You're in the fray or out in the shit for days last thing you need is to have to shit or shit your pants. Lol
@@Grizz_Bane44 I know bro I'm a marine vet
I like the low sodium taste like crap lol
That kick was awesome!
I heard the first sentence and then stopped listening because I'd be dead 😂
I would just go up the nuclear blast
Stack 4 inch by 12 inch concrete blocks infront of your basement windows for shielding and possibly over a old work table you want 12 inches of concrete for shielding
Just stock up on stash of canned food (and pasta or rice). Cheap and effective.
Exactly!! I'm going old-school myself! Canned goods are top of the list and are tried and tested in my opinion. There's canned that have been around since the civil war and are still edible!
Beans and rice works good too if you store them right.
This is for a bag not bunker
@@D_33_ you can carry canned goods as well.
@@erikturner5073 not very many if you gotta move fast
Have purchased them in the past, amongst other FD foods.. but I’m seeing lower quality MREs being sold out of the box, without the TTI on the case box being available… especially out of Puerto Rico and 10 years old or older..Puerto Rico has suffered LONG power outages in the past 10 years..thus increasing the risk of high heat exposure to already older cases in storage..just my two cents.
Even the spoon can be used as a weapon. It has one confirmed kill
You do need water to cook them though. And they're expensive.
No you don't..can't speak on cost bc I got them free when hubby was in military 40 years ago, n no I don't still have them, but he might?? Lol..I left him so???..if you know someone serving ask them to get some..if nothing else you may get it for their commissary price..
Always needed my canteen to cook them and make the drinks. Some have water bags, but the army ones I had on base came with no water. We would have a humvee with a water trailer for that.
Can you do a back pack review
Had dozens of cases of mre's from exes USMC days..wish I would've taken them when I left him..
And mre’s taste pretty good aswell
One MRE meal is around 20.00 bucks!
They weight many times as much as freeze dried. Even field stripped, you're not carrying around days worth of food
not to mention oncew you strip them you have about half a meal. Theres hardly anything in them!
I'm gonna make pemmican here soon. Great calorie nutrient dense food. The Indians and settlers used it to make it through winter most years.
Permmican is a great backup emergency food source. It can last for quite a while if stored correctly.
Love the MRE’s 👍🏻
where do you find MRES
Is there a certain company that makes great tasting MRE’s that you would recommend? Thank you.!
If you plan on living in a bunker the best thing you can do is dehydrate n can foods..they last nearly forever n made to your own liking..you can even can meat..I'm 62, but grew up with basement pantrys full of canned foods..I'm a van dweller but if we got nuked? I'm praying I'm fried instantly..
If you need any of these, you're screwed in the long run anyways.
You’re not going to starve if you are a prepper.
And vacuum seal in plastic bundles of them for rust protection which is the only issue
But you’ll die a slow, agonizing death from radiation poisoning and cancer.
What people don't understand is that carrying food you have to cook to eat can get you trouble. Having ready to eat foods can save you space in a bugout bag and will save you time. It doesn't matter if your food is in a thick package when it comes to radiation when you are walking unprotected.
But a MRE can only be stretch to about 2 meals. They are expensive as shit, heavy, and too bulky and not worth the hassle
Your survival bag can only carry so much stuff MREs are OK but its only short term. Also you mentioned not needing water...YOU need water it's actually your #1 priority.
Canned tuna 🍣.
Lasts about 2-3 years.
Great on protein also.
I heard that the Canadian Forces MREs are the best ones on the planet.
Got big stock of MREs ?
Mr Hannie of the Cannibals .
Those mountain house meals last 30 years. MRE only 3 years
MRE's definitely are good way past that.
Hazmat suit and iodine tablets too 👍🏼
Hazmat suit is not going to be very helpful if you're that close to need breathable air. I would be more concerned about decay of byproducts around me. Those gamma and x rays will go through any cheap plastic/rubber whatever suits. Depends on where you are vs whatever is emitting the nastiness. Beta and alphas will get stopped depending.
I'd say for every bug out bag also I have a crap ton of can food n I've also made a cooker out of a big ketchup can
Rucked out to the field and deployed with MREs countless times. Pro tip: Strip the MREs. It’s a bunch of dead weight and wasted space for the things you know you won’t use. Especially important if it’s in your Bugout bag. Every gram counts. Stay away from the eggs. And the goulash.
Full MREs for prep purposes are fine.
Make sure to stare at the bright object streaking across the sky before impacting the ground if you want a cool visual but more so if you don't value your vision.
After 20 years in the Army ....if I gotta survive a nuclear war by eating MREs ....I'd rather succumb to the radiation and just be done with it 🤣🤣
"Its military so it's durable" and although you don't "need" water. You do if you want to heat it which in itself isnt a issue. But if you don't have enough water for cooking I think you have much more serious problems tbh.
Right, most people dont understand its like a tiny splash for the heater.
Why is everyone struggling to survive an extra 5, 10, 20 or 30 years if things go down hill? Like, what is your plan to do in those extra years? Would make any difference? We’re all going to die at one point.
“Military grade”
Do you realize how long you would have to stay undercover from nuclear fallout You couldn't have that many MREs on hand let alone the rest of your family
Yeah, I hope I go out first as the life you describe in these scenarios sounds miserable and I've got a better place to go.
stockpile beer too! and toilet paper!
If you don’t know about MREs yet, then you better hurry and catch up!
Make your own MRE. MREs also make you shit less and can really bind you up. There like 3500 calories a pouch. So unless your rucking hard and don't mind getting constipated eat sparingly.
Do they have barbecue flavor MREs
Best bug to eat for food
Uh... It's so funny how he refers to it at a survival bag. Like it's just gonna be a couple days and then it's all clear.
First of all, you gotta survive the blast, then the radiation and fallout.
My survival kit it gonna come with a gun and 1 bullet.
Man, I’ve been loving all this great content Nate! Keep it coming!
Twinkies, Pemmican and a pint of maple syrup
NICE! 😎👍
Can we do anything with salt and pepper I need some tricks
Ok idk if anyone here has ate them but idk wat u mean by don't need water u do that's how u get the heating pack to activate?
But you do need water though for it to work
If a nuclear war breaks out is your cue to FF on this one
Make a separate shorts channel.
id rather die from radiation than being bugged out of my mine like you guys lol
The bag of the MRE are radiation proof?
Canned beans and tuna: 🗿
Can baby food be considered a healthy MRE?
MRE's are NOT intended to be your only form nutrition for more than 14 days. They are not good for you long term. They are good in a pinch. But, not in a constant use.
Save the MREs for the youngest and healthiest, most likely to survive. The ones with food or pollen allergies, asthma, diabetics, otherwise disabled -- we're going to be an albatross around the necks of the stronger ones. We need to share our knowledge now, to give the canny ones time to learn what we can share.
Best place to buy them?
How many years can these MRE last on a shelf?
older ones were made with so many preservatives and were just so poor quality they would have an insane shelf life, like decades. but newer ones will last a few years.
MREs AND dulcolax! Get ready to spend a pretty penny as well.
Oh please ... The best bug out food is WHAT EVER YOU CAN GET YOUR HANDS ON
Maybe the best survival food is whatever you can get your hands on. But bug out bags are done *before* shtf.
water is most important.
I'M A BIG EATER 😋 ...THAT LOOKS LIKE ENOUGH FOOD FOR ONE DAY'S DINNER .... WHAT ABOUT DAY 2 😋
Top Ramen and Twinkies
I’m just kidding
That’s an old wise tale
I didn't know that Canadians knew how to kick. Nice.
MREs are great but pricey
I'm going canned foods. They have been tried and tested. There's can sealed foods that have been around since the civil war and have been proven to still edible and taste good.
just spent 8 hours baking hardtack.
If a nuclear war breaks out, I hope I’m among the first ones killed. The lucky ones will die first.
Got it all😂
Yeah ….nuclear lol
Get a news video out buddy! It’s getting crazy out there!? 4 flying objects shot down in 8 days!?!?!
4,000 nuc's....0% chance of living people.Let's try to prevent this from happening.
Buy buy buy now
Lol. The reverse psychology though! Nate. You sneaky. Lol.
That Freeze Dry Wholesalers stuff you show? Produced illegally without a USDA inspector. Not sure if that matters to you or anyone else but…
Buy some Sopacko
People.
😂
😂
And where do you get them
Canadian
Nuclear war everyone dies!
Then what when u run out. @ every 1 u no is dead or dying?,
Kids would love this….not
I have a question.. what is your thoughts with all of these (balloons) that they are shooting down? Do they even know if they have poison chemicals in them
bro I live an hour away from germanys second largest city I think it doesnt really matter what I put in my survival bag. the only thing one needs for that scenario is a loaded gun to end it quick and painless so u dont have to see your loved ones literally melting.
Die now, die later.. your just giving yourself more time to pray for your soul. Living after a fall out would be hell on earth and we all know it. I'm prepping so can just watch others go away before I do. We need to stop kidding ourselves in the prepping world. There will never be enough food for years and years. Smdh.
But how can we survive a nuclear blast 💥. Is there a safe zone.
Nwss.pdf
Canned foods don’t last as long and often is salty. The Vegan MREs have the best snacks! (Like PB&J and M&Ms.) Menu C MREs have the best entrees. The FD food he showed is incredible! Store what the President gets to eat if tshf!
Winter MREs ARE Freezed dried 😂
The best bug out food packed with protein is....BUGS!
Hello Mr Schwab 😂
Zis man gets it! Ze mor bugs ze better!
I just subbed to this channel on a whim.
Definitely doesn't have anything to do with current events.
Absolutely not.
No sir.
How does it not have anything to do with current events?
Get MRES and break them down the way Rangers do. There are videos. Get Lifeboat survival rations too Inexpensive and life saving.
I've got Seven Oceans water and biscuits.
Absolutely the best
But you do need water, that heat bag won’t work otherwise
He saying you can eat them cold. FYI, throwing your main meal inside your jacket or such for awhile makes it quite warm.
@@shmodzilla I could see that, just shit posting,
Can’t by Māris it’s illegal
But they are so expensive,Who gmcan afford them ,as is all this survival crap
