wow man, they're so beautiful - amazing creatures, I genuinely hope they love being in that enclosure, it makes me sad to think they're not happy.

They are happy :) Loro Parque got the Humane-Certification, which proves animal welfare.

I'm not sure it that's necessarily true. They have been there a long time (for the most part) and most of the aquatic animals have probably all been bred in captivity and know no other life/environment. They don't have to worry about catching food or being prey for predators either so maybe not such a bad life.

I appreciate that you worry about animals, I do too, but before criticizing modern zoos I think you should read this Twitter thread, and, when you finish it, please tell me your opinion;) sorry that this in Spanish, use the translator

Killer Whales are so intelligent they can outsmart dolphins. Yet here we see them displayed in such tiny puddles of water that their fins are now bent. Shame on anyone involved (including the trainers) for being complicit in this mental torture of magnificent sea creatures. VOTE WITH YOUR WALLET. DON'T GIVE THIS PARK YOUR MONEY.

@@lukegale7812 First of all, I didn’t write my name bad, I know the word Awesome means awesome, but my nickname it’s Awsom, it has nothing to do with the word awesome
Second, That’s not my Twitter account and I don’t even told you to follow it
Third, those ”puddles of water” are designed so that the animal is at ease

Sad you all enjoy watching these beautiful creatures being used as surfboards and getting stood on..DO some research please for their sake, this is only fun for the humans..they are in a SWIMMING POOL!! Supporting this you are supporting the Hunts in Taiji Japan, look it up, taken from their family after swimming in the blood of the 'not so pretty' ones...Times are changing we now know they do NOT belong here.

@@awsom_1820 Watching this .. just made my convictions stronger. Seeing the dolphins and Orca in those small pools. What do/can they do in that tank when people go home? They are more intelligent than us but we put them in the pool and they go insane. They are given drugs to keep them calm, they keep them hungry so they will do the tricks. Do you see them begging for a small fish when they are done with the stupid tricks people make them do? I am so embarrassed for them all ...
Do you know the history of this park? Morgan was taken from the ocean, then they claim she is deaf, they keep her. Lots of controversy about that situation. Then they breed her (why would you breed an Orca that is deaf?) And she could not feed her baby, its hard when they are in such a small space. Then they get a Loan from Seaworld of Orca.. do you know they stay with the family forever in the wild. In parks they breed them then take the babies and move them away from Mom..They do the same with the dolphins. How can you think that is alright?
A trainer was killed here. And that is not the first time a trainer was killed by an Orca. It should tell you there is something not right? www.peta2.com/blog/seaworld-orca-abuse-loro-parque/
czcams.com/video/Hy9gt-f3I6Q/video.html good video to see what is behind the scenes..
I tried to get to your twitter account and you have it locked?
I also follow Naomi Rose, Ingrid Visser, Dolphin Project #Taiji #DolphinHunts #Emptythetanks I spend my days tweeting and informing people what really happens here and all parks.
I am curious who you are and if you really want to learn about the problems of them being in a park... or if you just like to see them do tricks?
I hope you check out the other side of this industry, it is to make money off the backs of these majestic species..

OUTRAGEOUS! How could man kind go and pay for these shows especially in the canary islands! You will not find killer whales but you will defentily find bottlenose dolphins in there home!
