Took awhile to find but this video offers much of what I wanted to justify my choice of phone at £450. Colours look natural. Photos don't disappoint. Screen clarity good. Settings look useful. Sound comes across as poor, but Im used to that on a mid-range Android. This phone prompted a move away from my Honor 10 primarily due to it being stuck on Android 10 and what I considered the best performance for the price. Think I've got better all- round performance with the exception of sound quality and minus the earphone jack. Many thanks.

My biggest gripe with most phone companies is how experimental they get with the rear camera design. It's like they don't know where to put them, but for some reason there must be at least 4 cameras on the back.
I wish this one have the telephoto cam similar one like we get on the oppo find X2. That's telephoto cam was great

It's ironic that regular screens perform way better than LTPO ones in battery consumption. Considering that LTPO panels are designed to consume less battery.
i think it's because of the quad hd resolution...
@@leosantos4854 Resolution doesn't really have any noticeable impact on the battery. You'd have a bigger impact if you're comparing AMOLED and IPS LCD than you would comparing FHD and QHD.
@@keyjeyelpi it still does, at least on my usage,I guess when you say "normal" screens you refer to mid range phones with only full hd screens without ltpo anyway, so no way to test how they would have performed with quad hd resolution... i get an hour of extra SOT on my op10 pro just by using only full hd
Most of the phones with LTPO uses a Snapdragon 8 gen 1 or 888
LTPO is useless if the phone can't take the heat
I have one of these phones. I love this phone. Speakers are fantastic and it feels amazing. Battery can drain when watching entertainment. The software is amazing and adapts to me

I’ve ordered the x5 rather than the pro as it appears the cameras are the same and the price is low. I always have an apple and an android as I have run workshops on phone photography and need both

You need to squint a lot to see anything on the Chinese one.
the chinese colors OS kinda sucks... delayed notifications, it was not possible for me to set a launcher as default, too many uninstallable apps, and cannot set google assistant as default

well it's only a matter of finding great deals, I bought a new unlocked s22 ultra 128gb for 895€ and find x5 pro for 949€ with the freebies, so they are a good deals... obviously no one should be paying those list prices

The icon pulldown would be such a great feature on other phones. I don't want to minimize the full screen, just for occasional need.

So been using pixels, Samsung s series and iPhones but just got bored of them plus each seem to have some inherent problems pixel 7 camera glass shatter just not worth the Google run around you will get, s23 too expensive for me and iPhones well not for me, so I been using HONOR 70 great phone but software is a let down haptics are awful, so now got a oppo find x5 for £399 after nectar discount etc so far it's been great let's see what long term is like

@@bastian.michel nope.... It's too picture perfect for that. I think oppo is doing colour grading on the fly. Just like the DSLR videos edited afterwards to make them accurate & give feels. I hope, I'm wrong. 😅

I'm currently using the Oppo Find X5 and I have to say that its battery is not that great as being said in the video. Not a heavy user either. And as usual with SD 888 powered phones which are cooled passively, it gets really hot even when going through some basic tasks. But for its current price - 470€ - I'd still recommend the phone.
Hi, does it still take very good photos day and night after updating to android 13? I really hope for an answer because I would like to buy this phone?
@@mariolal3136 The cameras are great on this phone. It's just the CPU getting too hot (known issue of SD 888), but other than that, it's a great phone. I'm still using it, battery life is bad but anyway.

It has very similar specs to the X3 Pro. I would recommend that one for a better price and overall similar or better specs.

Well the S21 FE is not that great from what I see a good mid range phones would be something like Realme GT neo 3 and 3T, IQOO Neo 6,Honor 70,Nothing phone 1.
I don't trust Samsung too much after the battery stuff and Xiaomi has that Miui that is not ok.

So for the past 4 years Oppo has gradually transformed the "Find" branding to a conventional and rather boring flagship like most of the competition; looking back at the first versions of this series like Find 5, Find 7 and Find X there were some unique features which you could not see in any other products. I know, we can argue that some of those features were not practical enough to make their ways in newer versions, but the point is I used to massively get excited for a new "Find" phone because it was innovative, but now that sensation is fading away real fast....and that's a shame!
find x2 pro was super good, i still don't get why they ditched that periscope lens.
find x3 pro introduced the microscope which was gimicky but nonetheless innovative, in the find x5 pro, they ditched it again without any replacement

The price of this phone is more than an iPhone 13 pro. That’s just ridiculous, the whole thing about oppo was that they trashed iPhones but were half the price. Now they are slightly better (depending) and cost more.

Some great hardware and software let down by bad battery life, overnight I could lose up to 15% my iPhone 13 loses 0% , pixel 7 I used about 2/3% , s22 5% and honor 70 around 2/4 % so I sold the oppo considerable loss

Heating And Draining issue Help Us Save The Oppo Find X5 Pro
the first time I had this problem was with my first Opportunity find X5 Pro that I bought in the march this year. the battery drains very quick even when you don't use. while using you can get 5h sot then later I sold my X5 pro because I didn't like the draining and heating, then I bought the Oppo Find X5 no heating and no draining of the battery also while not using the The Oppo Find X5 didn't drains at al, and only gets hot while gaming 3months later I Bought The Oppo Find X5 Pro again because I love the phone its a great product and still facing the same problem switched back again to The oppo Find X5 again no issues. then later on switched back again to X5 Pro again thought maybe with color os 13 anything will be fixed and much better buth My X5 runs on color os 13 and my X5 Pro runs on color os 12.1 patch October 2022.
I bought The Find X5 Pro 3Times and Faced The same problems with 3 different phones, I switched once to a other phone company, buth like oppo so much that I keep coming back
I only browsed a bit on chrome while using wifi til 22:00 I got outside switched to 4g and the phone gets hot while browsing then in standby I didn't used the phone, and it drains while idle the Find X5 losing 10 procent battery if you browse for one hour on internet the Find X5 pro Gives you 45minutes
5hours sot and the phone will be dead a lot of people also talking about this, on Xda Developers, that why I Said #saveoppofindx5pro because we all love the Phone buth the battery and heating Problem makes it Not a Fine Experience
I bought the Find X5 Pro I had it 3 times 1 the the white on ass seen on the picture . I sold it because of draining and heating isseus, then switched twice back to the Find X5 white a white one sold it later on because I loved it so much sold back a other Find X5 Pro and still facing the same problem so I had 3 times the Find X5 pro and 2 Times the Find X5 and didn't had any of this problems got 7 till 8hour sot
and I had the Find x5 pro5 3 times so I don't think a factory reset wil work. I think maybe It can fixed with a big software optimization update since the release of the phone I have the same problem over the 7 months periode I used over 3 different Find X5 Pro Phones and have the same isseu I hoped Color OS 13 will Fix This buth there is
