I am from Kerala. The landslide happening is not surprising. When you have people claiming acres of lands in and throughout the western ghats , and also build huge resorts and houses this is bound to happen. This has already been predicted decades ago in the Gadgil report but both commies and congress did nothing. It is sad. I am also sure that no government would be able to ask them to vacate the hills as they won't and can't be given places or money to go elsewhere. Most of them are poor people who died yet the real villains with resorts and quarry mafia have not lost anything. 😢

@user-yt1ct8xs2p kushal is roughly 10 years older than sham, so he refers to him as aap. AIM is probably in his mid to late 30s so not a lot of age gap. Thats why Sham, refers to him as tu. And AIM is in the middle (agewise) so he calls both of of them as tu. And none of us know the relationship they have among themselves to even contemplate how they refer to each other. So don't worry too much about these things.

To Kushal's point on Pooja's question, I would say that the problem in our case is that we are too fragmented, even if we remove jati as the factor, which I agree that it will go away with urbanization and industrialization, there is not really much besides Cricket and maybe a war that brings us together otherwise we always revert to tribalism over language, religion, perceived ethnic dynamics, etc. Like we can't get a consensus over even very critical issues.
