Being limited to apps made for iPad is the biggest downside. I would honestly say this is like comparing a giant iphone to a real computer.

I used last years iPad Pro and an off brand keyboard for a whole year of college with no laptop and it worked amazing. Planning to do the same for my remaining years

My iPad Pro replaced my 27” iMac in 2017 and the only thing I couldn’t do on my iPad Pro was Excel macros. I needed that to keep score for my billiard team. All other things and more I can do with my iPad Pro. I’m also paperless since 2017. I never print, anything. So, can it replace your laptop/PC? Yes it can, but still depending on your needs. For 80% of users it absolutely can replace your desktop/laptop. Besides that it’s much more fun to be able to sit in your garden or on your couch and the touchscreen is so much more easy and fun than a mouse or trackpad 👍

Nope. Excel is awful and really lags on my M1 Pro on basic spreadsheets. I find it impossible to open up 2 spreadsheets side by side. Files app is hard work and you can’t back up your files or photos and you can’t even import music to it.

I only have an ipad for school, since they have the best note taking apps on the market but it sits and collects dust on my off time. I cant do anything else with it. I have a computer, so i dont need it to edit anything? I also have android literally everything else so it cant read my messages, or send them to anyone. I have a phone for social media. If the apps on ips were available on my android i wouldn't have one at all.

Dumb question here! 😅I’m not tech savvy so don’t judge. Microsoft Office can be done on a Mac Air or just Apple laptop in general? I have iPad and iPhone but still want a personal laptop for myself and husband (who is an android user), what cannot be done with Apple laptop??

An iPad could maybe replace, like, a Chromebook. But a whole computer? Nah. Same goes with smartphones.

Nah I’ve got a friend that only needs to watch CZcams stuff and take notes. For that, it can. Anything more though a laptop would be better 💯

False. A Chromebook can’t even replace a smartphone, an iPad Pro can do pm anything a laptop can

@@cemalshabinasfirst of all, who’s coding on a Chromebook? What a joke 😂 the VAST MAJORITY of ppl aren’t coding at all so that’s a stupid argument. And yes it can open and run files, multiple at a time 🤡. It can easily replace a laptop for the VAST MAJORITY of ppl

@@Brimoe18 first of all stop being immature and talk properly, secondly you mentioned “laptop” and the first sentence grammatically cannot fit into the second phrase. Third, no it can’t run files such as, .exe, and etc.
