    I was beginning to think my recently purchased faucet had a defective sprayer and needed replacing. I took it apart, gave it a thorough cleaning, and reassembled it very tightly. No more leaks! You just saved me a bunch of time and money. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! ☺

    Opened cabinet below the sink and water poured out on the floor -from water shooting back through the faucet housing. Not to mention the leak at the sprayer. This video saved the day! Thank you!!!

    Very informative on the disassembly. On my Kohler faucet, i needed to use an Allen wrench to unscrew the inside assembly to get to the O-ring. I flipped the O-ring that was worn out on one side (from the ball joint) and then reassembled. No leak. This would be just a quick/band-aid fix to immediately stop the leak until a new the replacement O-ring is obtained and installed.

      Its a 1/4in allen or hex just in case that helps anyone else. O-ring is part number 34263.

    Most of the recommendations about fixing the leaky faucet involve replacing the hose, and after spending way too much effort on that, I'm so glad I found this video. Great little tutorial, took about 10 minutes and the leak is fixed. Thanks!

    Thanks for the video. It was the only one I could find that addressed this particular problem. I have a Pfister that's less than 2 years old with this problem intermittently. Unfortunately, the solution for your faucet did not work for mine. Pfister will send me a replacement for free, but in the meantime I get sprayed, and then I have to spend time performing the replacement. Will not buy Pfister again.

    Thank you. I thought mine would be similar even though it's not a a Kohler. Not sure what it is, even though it looks very much like yours. However, when I unscrewed the faucet/sprayer, the hose recoiled. I had to figure out how to unscrew the whole faucet/turn the water off/ to get it out. Quite an ordeal for me. Man I miss my late husband, who could fix anything! Just a warning to those who think theirs look similar! I'm still trying to figure out how to get the screen off the end of faucet/sprayer, lol. Thanks for your video

      It leaks, I am assuming it's the Valve. However, my first issue is figuring out the size of the Allen wrench needed to remove the setscrew. I have not found any instructions on line that tell you what the size of the Allen Wrench is needed to remove the setscrew. It being on the back of the handle and just a couple of inches from the back splash I cannot see the hole to align the Allen wrench properly. I think I may found the correct Allen Wrench and now have unscrewed it. But I don't know if it is far enough, but the handle appears to be stuck and now I have to figure out how to remove the handle and not damage it. It will not budge at all. Anyway it's very frustrating and I have stopped and left it alone for the time being. I may have to bite the bullet and hire a plumber to finish something that should be a simple task.

    • @teppichkopf
      @teppichkopf  Před rokem +1

      @@haroldprice1030 It uses 1/8 Allen wrench. I have a video of replacing the leaky cartridge. The handle pulls straight up but if it has been on for years it is a REAL pain to remove (almost like it is glued on). Here's the video, hope it helps! -- czcams.com/video/7BVEtAGc6pQ/video.html

    🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation:
    00:48 🔧 The faucet sprayer issue is likely caused by a loose washer or gasket, so check and tighten them.
    01:10 🔄 To remove the buttons on the sprayer, use a flat head screwdriver to pop them out from underneath.
    02:00 🔩 Behind the buttons, there should be a small spring, which can lose elasticity over time.
    02:47 🧼 Stretching the spring can sometimes restore its elasticity, fixing the stream switching issue.
    03:40 💡 If the fix doesn't work, consider getting a new spring or a new faucet sprayer as replacements.
