Long time no see (again! I know, I know) What a vlog to come back with. This really was the trip of a lifetime with Benefit to the amazing place that is Hawaii.
This video gives you a little look into what we got up to on our week in Hawaii and also a look at the launch of Benefit's new WANDERful World Blush collection. They launched 12 new gorgeous shades - my current favourites are Willa, Cookie and Butterfly, which I'm wearing throughout the video (along with my trusty Hoola bronzer of course).

There’s a lot of criticism about the trip, saying it was tone deaf due to water shortages and local people asking for tourists not to come to Hawaii. Do you experience any negative comments or was the issue addressed at all? I’m not criticizing you, I’m just wondering what it was like to actually be there when it was seen as such a bad move to be involved in it?
Hey there, personally I spoke to a lot of locals over there who were extremely welcoming and happy to have tourists back as they took a huge hit through covid. It’s a big part of the Hawaiian economy xx
@@louisecooney_ Natives are begging people to not visit. They are fined for using water & pushed off the island. They're obviously not going to tell you directly they don't want you there lol
@@louisecooney_ I mean if the locals you spoke to were workers in hotels and tourist destinations of course they would say that, their jobs depend on it. The issue right now though is OVER tourism, too many people visiting and people's experience in the countryside, outside of the tourist hotspots is very different. So many people that went on the trip haven't spoken up about it and I think acknowledging it in some way would be appreciated because right now it looks very tone deaf, from Benefit and the influencers who went.
