When he walks back under the colosseum after winning the first gladiatorial games with the other prisoners against the chariots in the remake of the battle of Zama and all the other gladiators still beneath in the dungeon just start chanting “MAXIMUS MAXIMUS MAXIMUS !” Has to be the most bad ass scene ever
Oh yes the cameramen is great professional and this movie belongs to all time movie with a great Russell crow
Dude that final scene in this video, where Maximus spares the guy to defy the emperor, and the crowd is disappointed at first then rallies with "Maximus; Maximus the Merciful!"
Absolute *chills* watching that. Such a powerful and gripping story.

Weird how Maximus puts that spike through the dudes foot, then he leans over and spews blood out of his mouth. Must have had cheat code on.
You have a lot of vital arteries in your feet but I'm no expert just a guess.
Maximus smacks his opponent hard in the face with his metal shield, which allows Maximus space to get the axe & which he uses to then put the spike through the bloke's foot.
