    Good evening sir, it was a very nice explanation, I understood it very well. I'm a student of STD 8th and
    Just one thing is that I viewed ur channel a lot and searched for the 8th std maths videos but couldn't find it.
    So, I wanted to ask u that do u even upload videos of 8th STD Maths explanation video's ?????

    Could you explain the "less than/equal to" part in more detail please? Why isn't it exactly equal to that number?

    • @StayQrious
      @StayQrious Před 4 lety +2

      Thanks for asking about the less than or equal to part. Watching the video again, I can see I have not explained it in detail. Basically, when you are trying to find the square root of a number using this division method, what you are really doing is guessing the length of the side of the largest square whose area is less than this number. Now, because we are only guessing natural numbers, we will find that the number we are guessing will be exactly equal to the area ONLY if the number given to us is a perfect square. So, in general, unless we know the number is a perfect square (which it happens to be in this case), the right thing to do is assume that it is less than or equal to the area.

    Sir u have not cleared the concept of why we took bar on only 2 digit number .

  • @bernatboschfolch
    @bernatboschfolch Před 2 lety

    The problem of the method is that just works if the number is a perfect square number.

    • @aryarpurnashri704

      Ohh so if it isn't it wouldn't

    • @StayQrious
      @StayQrious Před 2 lety

      Oh, I think that the inequality in the equation takes care of the case where it isnt a perfect square. So, we ll get a decimal answer if it wasnt perfect square. It just so happens that this is a perfect square in this case.

      I think the explanation was sufficiently detailed, I don't think there's much of a problem with it. It really cleared up the logic behind this method for me, I had learnt this method in 8th but had never thought of the logic behind it, now learning through this video- has made it much easier to relearn it again.
