Is the handheld part very heavy? I would be only needing the handheld part that attaches to the hose to replace a handheld shower in my walk-in tub/shower. It needs one that has the capability of pointing more downward than most I have seen and this looks like it would be perfect if it is not too heavy. The filter would go in another shower.

Its a bit heavy but i think its fine. The reason its heavy is because of the filter built into the shower head.

You should be able to twist the shower head open to replace it. I would say try again.
