I have met a few Venezuelans in Colombia and all were very nice hard working people and many spoke English. I was pleasantly surprised and would love to visit that beautiful country. Unfortunately politics are in the way…

@@wajdi_bouzidiI’ve never been there so I wouldn’t be able to give you thorough answer to that but my guess is with more tourism it would probably be similar to Cartagena. I have no desire to go back because of the high sex tourism.

That is typical in Venezuela people offers you a lift if you are going to the area where they are going, I love that there is still that culture of community I don’t see it in Europe where I am living now, I want to go back to Venezuela and live in the island .
Went here 23 years ago...It was pretty nice back then. Maybe go back next spring.

In 1998 and 1999 I was on holiday in Isla de Margarita and also in Play El Aqua. There were small restaurants between the palm trees and now nothing anymore it has become a barren beach and is no longer pleasant at all.
I hate to see it this way, this also applies to Porlamar where we stayed in a resort, its in and in sad. I still miss isla margarita.

Just watched the whole video and first of all I want to thank you for visiting and showing my country and specifically Margarita Island. I was born in Maracay but lived in the island for 5 years before leaving the country. I’m planning to move back, not now but in some years so is always nice to see how different the island looks like and try to figure out what to expect in some years. Though, I’d like to advise you that the best in the island, is the people, the culture, locals and people from other parts of the country. Just try next time to interact a bit more and you will be amazed 😊
I was there when they only had Bolivares and the prices were much nicer than i see now from your vlog, you could get a Polar beer on the beach for 0.20 cents.... now 10$ for Parilla? OMG it's like USA prices...

I love your videos as you are the only one i see recently providing a eye into what it is like there. I would love to visit Venezuela but as an American i have concerns if I would be welcomed there or if their government look for me and would use me as a pawn as a political chess piece should things go further south. I know this sounds ridiculous or silly but my girlfriend there is afraid of the same things. Is there any other American that has visited for a length of time and felt safe?
