As it turns out, there are a lot of hidden gems in the pawnshops around the world and we were lucky enough to see some and even take two home. Van Cleef & Arpels is up there with Graf. Their use of invisible setting in rubies and sapphires is so distinct, you can spot their work a mile away. And it aint cheap!

Pawn shops are a great place to find a good deal on jewelry, but I'd never do it. You know damn well that a good amount of the items in pawn shops are stolen and sold for pennies on the dollar to fund a drug habit.
There's too much desperation and negative energy associated with items in pawn shops.
@@Danny-sd5vm Not in my regular one, it’s a family that have been buying and selling jewelry for decades - and not all of it comes from the pawn business - second hand everything used to be looked down on, but not any more - anyway until I can afford to have my own designs made I’ll buy vintage.
Sir, there's desperation and negative energy with every piece of jewelry that contains a diamond or similar stone. Lest not forget the horrific conditions of the mines and countries where these gems come from. I'm not sure where most gold comes from, but I'm willing to bet exploitation is also involved during the collection of gold. @@Danny-sd5vm

I wish I could visit out there now, I wish I could afford to get some of your pieces they are all beautiful and you are one amazing salesman and straight up man!!! Max take us up to the floor where all the hassidic jewish folks selling diamonds. In the lobby you need to pass a high level security check. "High level" like background checks and things like that because them folks are carrying items worth lots of money.
That floor has Indians and some middle eastern and Russians I think not all hassidic but I'd say lot more jewish folks than other ppl.
