I had no idea typewriters still existed! It is so cute. Back in the old days (haha) we actually had a full semester class on typing and how to write different letters, resumes, etc. I must say it has served me well!
What a beauty of a typewriter! I enjoyed that you actually typed something readable too! Very usable key layout in Spanish with both exclamation signs ¡! and interrogation signs ¿? and of course the accent ´ and the letter ñ!

I have a portable imperial good companion. Great wee typewriter. I do a bit of calligraphy and like to write letters but after learning of cursive typewriters. I so want to get one. Such a beautiful result to see a full page of neat writing
Wonderful. I have a Princess 300 with cursive types (and a blue/red ribbon). What I like about your Hermes Baby is that you have an actual lever. Mine Hermes Babies only have this folding lever.
I've seen thenPrincess 300s, it is such a pretty design. Also, I love colored ribbons. Is your Hermes Baby a Mint one? I was hoping to find a cursive typewriter in the Mint metal body. But I'm still really loving this new one. Does the folding lever cause issues?

The font is so unique. I enjoy using it so much. The serial number for this one is 6577633. I believe both of my Hermes Typewriters are from '67. Happy hunting! :)
How did you get your typewriter so clean? I bought one from someone who wanted to get rid of it and it's very nice but definitely not like yours. Yours looks like new, did you service it?

And yes, after thrifting my first typewriter I started searching online for folks who service typewriters, those do tend to be more expensive, but I wanted to make sure the machine would work properly. I stumbled upon Typewriter Techs, I've purchased twice from them, both Hermes Baby typerwriters. :)

Does your model makes a sound when it reaches the end of the margin? I have one similar to yours, but I don´t know if it is something that doesn´t come with the typewriter.
Yes. All of my typewriters make a ding sound when the carriage reaches the margin. I am not an expert, but if yours doesn't make that ding, it just might not be hitting the bell in the back.
