Salavation is Here by Hillsong United surely should be on this list, if you can keep up with the 16th notes and the bass solo. Maybe it's too hard for most so didn't want to put it on the list.
That is a great song!
I really thought it would be number 1
completely agree with this

A good list but I’m wondering why no songs from mid 2000s Hillsong. Some amazing bass parts from that era.

Great point! I definitely still jam early/mid 00’s Hillsong
Great work and great choices but may I ask why Phil Anselmo from Pantera is in the thumbnail for a worship bass line video?
It’s the “stank face” for me 😂

I wanted to hit the thumbs down, Best Bass Lines? I don't think so. I was expecting more of that when I came here. It's a waste of time. Yet Again, we all have different perspectives, I myself is not a fan of picking the bass. Let me share some good Christian Influences that would raise your awareness for "Best Bass Lines for Worship Songs". 1. Christian city church oxford falls songs Prophecy album, Ron Kenoly Lift Him Up album, Darrell Evans - Trading my Sorrow, and many more. You got Israel Houghton as number 1 that's acceptable. I pray that you grow more in Spirit and in Truth than in music. Hope this broadens your influence. God bless!
Funny, when he said a church fave he grew up with for #1 (I'm similar age) I totally expected Trading My Sorrows, definitely iconic. You both list some I haven't heard yet, so thanks
I’ve been playing for 40 years and rarely play with a pick but I find the older I get the more I enjoy appreciating all there is out there. The electric bass is a guitar after all and where would we be without guitars. Also, I think we’re all entitled to believe somethings are number one and other things are number one that’s the beauty of it all we just get to like what we like and other people like what they like. to me that is the ultimate of a spiritual perspective, especially since we have the gift of knowing Christ we can enjoy life even more.
Thanks for the suggestion of CCCOF! Amazing and orders of magnitude better bass lines without a doubt! I’d be shocked if anyone in heaven plays bass with a pick, haha😂.
