Jack O’Meara, recipient of Emerging Leaders award embodies the epitome of excellence and innovation in his field. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering. He co-founded his company, Ochre Bio, in 2019, which has recently entered into a partnership worth over 1 billion euros, with Boehringer Ingelheim, to develop regenerative treatments for chronic liver disease.
Jack’s commitment to pushing boundaries has distinguished him as a pioneer in his field and last year he was named in the 2023 Forbes 30, Under 30 in Europe for his work. Jack is a shining example of University of Galway’s values of excellence and this award cements his reputation as a rising star in his field.
