    I got the EGO mower and it has way more than exceeded my expectations! I mowed my yard the other day which was a little wet but it was tall grass and the mower got through it like it was nothing. Impressive!

    hey guys, enjoyed the video.
    although the battery capacity was off i believe.
    to calculate a universal measurement of any battery you do AH multiplied by voltage.
    what comes out is watt hours.
    so a 5 AH 60 volt battery would be 300watt hour , a 4 AH 80 volt battery would be 320 watt hour and therefor have more capacity
    this works for any battery, not just lawnmower batteries ^^
    naturally feel free to give it a google to back up this info, hopefully this can help educate people on which mower and battery system to get.
    have a good one!

    Hi James + Josh, That was a good top gear test run on battery mowers. I liked the Milwaukee, all that power with the lower voltage battery and like you said the 18v battery can be used in any of hand held power tools, just for the battery application it's Milwukee for me. They run the 2 batteries in series, making it 36v, but it’s still impressive that it’s the most powerful and doesn’t have overheating that would cause thermal throttling compared to the 80v mowers.

    Hey Nation, thank you so much for bringing us a UK perspective of garden machinery. Have you ever thought of handing the machines over to professionals to see how they handle on the day to day and subsequently get more in-depth reviews, eg. Giving mowers to a gardener to see how they handle different gardens, how maneuverable they are, any quirks the have etc. Keep up the amazing work.

    • @MachineryNation
      @MachineryNation  Před 29 dny +2

      We have done this in the past with certain tools. But unfortunately a lot of the time the costs exceeds the rewards. Mower wise James ran a landscaping and garden maintenance company for several years and was a garden machinery dealer for 12 years. I’m not sure what advantage handing one over to a professional who has only used 2/3 mower brands would achieve in this case. Items we generally get professions to look are like top handle chainsaws up a tree etc. Stuff we either aren’t legal to use etc.

    Great comparison video gentleman! I understand these are all 21” decks but I’ve been eyeing the Greenworks new 22” mower that has a knob to change from bagging to mulch. I’m currently using a Ryobi 40v 20” poly deck mower and I like it. To me though a lot of these poly deck mowers feel like this younger generations poly Tonka toys! They are tough for sure but I like the feel of my generations metal Tonka toys…lol! I would love the Milwaukee mower since I’m on the platform but the Greenworks has a better price point. Excellent review … Milwaukee for its far superior RPM 3,300-3,800, cleaner cut with less stragglers, faster cut (time is money) and full bag … the others are typically slowing down the RPM to game runtime at the expense of a good cut.
