Written assessments are kind of tough. There are unseen passages, grammar exercises and essay writing. If you qualify that you'll be selected for the French interview round. For that, you just need to be prepared enough for the normal interview questions asked by the interviewer.

You can apply but B1 is already equivalent to Advanced diploma so there is no need. You can go ahead and do B2 level that will help more.

For the foreign language round it will be completely in the foreign language, yiu can't speak English in that interview. If you clear that then there will be an English round.
