Quick tip to keep in mind: always invest in the highest grossing nodes before investing in nodes that have materials that you need. For the sake of example, if you need maple timber, invest into fig/datepalm nodes, etc... Sell them, buy the maple timber, and you just got way more timber than you would have gotten otherwise. Always do this so long as the material you need is buyable on the market.

Hey guys, Post-trade rework player here. I want to save the people who think trading got significantly better after the ~2x box price changes. TL:DR they did not buff trading they buffed processing and processing is still mega doo-doo silver for +80% of players.
So the patch that happened early February that increased the trade crates just got increased numbers. No QoL, no faster way to get your mats, no better way of making crates, and you still can't process for very long without needing to store your products and put in your processing materials again. What this means is you will see an increase in profit from turning in your crates but it is deceptive because the marketplace changed along with it.
Just as an example of your potential best case scenario; at the current market prices in NA, brass ingot crates can net you 216 mil after buying 71570 ingots off the MP at master 10 trading. Pretty descent if you're okay with investing the 1.3 billion initial cost. Granted you need a strong worker empire that EvilDoUsHarm so graciously elucidated with his amazing 3 part video series.
The only benefit is for people can't be at their computer for long periods of time but can check-in/remote in or for the people with massive amounts of contribution points (I'm talking 450+) that can afford buying the finished product off the marketplace for 1-3 billion silver to make 100-300 mil back every full crate turn-in (7157 crates).
Another VERY VERY VERY important note is that unless you are remoting in, processing is not worth it. You are still only making 100-150 mil an hour at max mastery and 95% success rate. You are still better off selling your mats and spending your time grinding, gathering, hunting, or cooking.
I really wish they would just let us put our processed materials into storage or having workers process your materials for you at the same rate you would. At least that's what I think trading needs to be a good lifeskill to invest in.
P.S if you just think trading is cool, fuck it -- play how you want to play. Just be ready for that year long grind.

Hey Evil, I've been searching CZcams for a particular guide and was hoping you had done one. As a newer player, I'm still struggling to completely understand 'gearscore'. What do different stats mean, which pieces are most relevant, how are weapons calculated for awakening and succ etc? Hope you can help

Very simply, gs = ap + dp. If you are an awakening class, count awakening ap as your ap. Look for a gear progression guide for the rest

Not at all, never use the workshops for processing timber into planks/plywood (you lose too much)
workshops are for transforming plywood into crates!
