What are your thoughts about using 15w40 motor oil?
You can use 5w50 synthetic if you don't have official Kranzle oil.
Was the torque spec ever mentioned for the drain bolt?
20Nm . For those without a torque wrench, just tighten as normal.

What machine do you have?
Greetings from the UK. What is the actual viscosity of the Kranzle gear oil, is it 80w90? I can't find it anywhere that tells me the viscosity. I want to change the oil on my K10 (HD) 122 TS, but am looking for an alternative gear oil as the Kranzle oil is so costly.... $50 a litre on OG website!!!! It's about £32 GBP here, but that's a lot. Great informative video, thank you Josh.

Hi. We of course recommend official Kranzle oil. However, in a pinch, you can use 5w50 synthetic oil.

@@kranzleusa5846Hi Kranzle, I just bought 1122TST and I am reading the manual and it says W 15/40 motor oil? Which one's which really? There's also a Simpson Pump Crankcase Oil available in the use which is also 15W40. Would that work?

What can cause cavitation (air bubbles) in the oil?
Cavitation is when air gets inside the pump head. The air and water mix together creating turbulence inside the cylinders. That turbulence causing "pitting" and is known as cavitation. This is why it is important that on that there are no leaks at the water in line or out.
