Kerry sorry on my comment about Angel Studios during the live chat. You aren’t allowed very many words for superchats so I didn’t make myself clear. In regards to Angel Studios, who is distributing Sound of Freedom, as a content creator of the carnivore documentary you could send them your pitch idea. I mentioned the trailer referring to when you said your documentary film maker friend told you when you have a trailer for your film you could use that to present to Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, etc. Angel Studios has a saying that they want to distribute projects that “amplify light”, meaning film/TV that brings a positive, uplifting message into the world. I know your documentary will be that. I was just saying if you have a hard time getting the big streaming services to accept your film, don’t dismiss Angel Studios. When they receive content from creators they present it to “the guild “. The guild is made up of the people who have invested financially to help get the projects on their app distributed (and/or in theaters) Not sure if you know this but Sound of Freedom was able to raise $5 million through the Angel Studios investment platform which helped to cover the cost of advertising and getting it into theaters. I’m a guild member and I’ve seen a variety of genres put out for guild review so I don’t think you can assume it would be rejected out of hand as something Angel Studios wouldn’t distribute. I know they want to build a vast library of content on their own app like Netflix so something like your documentary might be accepted. The key is to have a top notch trailer or short film so people have a really good idea what you want the end film to be. I’ve seen some things that were not well made presented and they get low votes from the guild. Just food for thought as you put your film together.

Yes, I am curious, as from my perspective, it seems as though eating meat has become very politicized, and having a carnivore type diet seems to be something humans do that is against the grain in more than just one way, so whatever society and its politics lack in support for the documentary, we’ve got to compensate for on the other end together as a community

Then came the next big group with Kelly Hogan, Dr. Chaffee, Dr. Baker, Laura Spath, Dr. Elizabeth Bright & many others. Now, there are new Carnivores popping up all over the place, which is awesome! @@ES-bn1bi I have a couple videos on my channel now but going to put up some more of course
basically it took me time first few times I quit the headaches the typical trying to stop got in my way
for me I do think one has to quit something no matter how hard it is for 3 months as that seems to be a good base time to truly give your body a break
of course during that 3 months how is your sleep your joint pain etc...
and then try coffee again see what you notice ? and decide
what was funny is I did not notice any difference until that 2 year mark
I try to use the analogy you have ear plugs in and just cant hear what is happening ! it is happening you just can't sense it ! now for me was more a ritual comfort thing as to why I kept going until that 2 yr mark
so on that 2 yr as I say was strange I stopped next day nothing no headaches no withdrawal just nothing was perfectly fine did not even crave coffee
and then after a long break tried it again and first day was not a fan 2nd day could only do 1/1 of it and the 3rd say two sips and was done !
so what did I notice drinking again massive histamine sinus response and gut ache response and just not quite as clear mentally hard to explain that one :)
but the stopping gained me way better sleep and the mornings were even easier to get up and I now really do not have to rely on a alarm clock
also a more consistent energy through the day and the recovery of doing hard work riding my bike is better and my joints just feel better !
      hope that helps :)

Sometimes I consider applying to the movie as I’ve experienced positive benefits from switching to low carbs but I am not an ideal candidate. Before last year, I was convinced that I couldn’t lose and keep weight off. But then I became sick and lost 100 pounds (550 to 450 pounds). Then I became better and maintained that loss for 6 months, before my nephew asked me to join him in carnivore. 46 days ago, I was 450 pounds, today I’m 421. I’m not carnivore yet because I can’t stop fruit, but I will. I keep lowering carbs. My brain fog lifted, and I have hope to get to a normal weight. I am surprised to be a nose breather because my sinuses were always clogged and I used to take two types of allergy medicine. I have many health issues and I expect to get off most, if not all medications.
But years ago, I felt like I was on the right track but I wavered and didn’t succeed. So typing this in, I realize I can’t help the film because I won’t know I’m a success until I do it. I’ll support in other ways.

aj I think you're a perfect candidate because you've already been in the struggle that so many have been through!!
As for the fruit, maybe try my trick I used... for the current day, go down to one piece of fruit. The next day (or 2 days later) try to tell yourself "I'm going to keep this piece of fruit as my go-to for when I just cannot stand it any longer" and keep putting it off until later in the day. Choose a zero carb treat instead, telling yourself, ok if I eat this carnivore food and I just cannot STAND it and MUST have the fruit, then fine I will start over tomorrow. But if I can put it off until bedtime, I'll say ok, ✔ this day off and tomorrow I will try this again.
If you keep looking at it like this is it, I'll never EVER eat a bite of fruit again... you'll be bound to fail.
      Small steps = great progress

I think you should connect with major famous homesteaders to go carnivore for a month.
Raising the animals themselves on the farm from rabbit to chickens to goats or lamb. This movement will pick up and hopefully we'd get rid of the seeds and poison from the diets.

Lots of carnivores have dairy and you have access to the best kind. Dairy is technically carnivore as are eggs
The most basic carnivore approach is BBB&E. That includes butter.

1:11:50 Kerry, I think it’s good to mention the things to look out for when starting in the documentary - but you probably just need to mention them broadly and give some direction/resources where to look for more. This isn’t a how to carnivore documentary - it’s a WHY to carnivore. Or at least that seems like it from what you have explained before. People need to know it’s an option and that it’s good for humans and optimal for humans and all the beautiful things that happen when junk/plants are removed. The ones that are interested and motivated to do so will need to do their research on how to start. Or maybe that is part two?
    That’s my two cents anyway.

Cats and dogs should eat raw meat. My cats only eat raw fresh fish (they love the pollack from Alaska which I buy frozen), chicken, cow etc. Remember they also need taurine. The dark meat on chickens and turkeys contain a lot of taurine. A 4-ounce serving of chicken thighs has 222 milligrams (turkey 334), while 4 ounces of chicken breast has only 16 milligrams.

Our biome needs to adapt and seems to happen to most of us. It was weird for me I felt fine except the tummy issues as you say. I was strict carnivore but I ate one sourdough slice of bread with butter and it soothed and stopped my gastro symptoms. Stay carnivore and maybe add one thing to slow it down? It seemed my body was irritated and needed the bread to stabilise and never looked back.

Check to see if getting a high strength thiamine b1 supplement helps. I saw a video of a woman that struggled on carnivore and it was a thiamine deficiency. If you Google b1 and stomach problems you'll see the link.
You can find the video with the woman being interviewed on EOnutrition's channel, video title is one of the most recent ones and is called wheelchair bound to thriving. You'll understand why it worked for her and the type of thiamine she used. Also just a really interesting interview too. She has decades of health problems, severe ones that went away on carnivore.
I wondered if B1 might be Kerry's wife's stomach issue too and tried to comment a few times in hope that she would see it.
You could also try having a couple of tablespoons of apple cider vinegar in water before eating. To digest meat your stomach needs to be very acidic. Through our bad diets and unnatural eating +aging, the acidity decreases.
For those that have followed a low fat diet for years may also find their gallbladder isn't used to having to breakdown so much fat and there may be bile issues

I think you're fat content's too high to start You have to ease into it a lot with people that aren't used to it. Steak is better than burgers and lower fat is better than higher fat. Going to need the energy so you're going to need the fat eventually but I would maybe grill my burgers if If you can is that's a lot easier on your stomach than say a air fryer or whatever with a fat stays on that burger longer.

I'm a firm believer that cheese is the biggest mistake the carnivore community makes when telling people they can eat this way. In fact I think we shouldn't even be promoting cheese especially for those who are trying to lose weight
