You're playing an advanced character and not power sliding. It's always easier to stay ahead than get behind. You need to have great lines and power slide constantly.

Star Wars battlefront 2 has a massive update tmartan
For skyways two of the best characters are Pura or Polar, I used Coco to win the first time but when I got to the boss I use Polar and it was so much easier because of the turn. Btw get the wumpa fruits it gives you more speed and power-up the abilities.
