you can also use the garage glitch for the north yankton cars,just drive with them without the interaction menu and if you use the asea you should be in ls,abandon the car and it will be in the vehicle impound(applies to all of these,including rancher xl and mesa)

I just tested it again and it worked for me, I feel it works 60% of the time so you could be just really unlucky, you said you downloaded a save so that might have something to do with it, when you fail the mission give it a few seconds before exiting and don’t spam buttons 👍🏼

I don't think that will ever be possible again (without using mods), because Rockstar has now separated Online from Story Mode completely.
