  • For a while, Criminality has been a game dominated by a gun meta. Why is that? Why do half of the game's weapons go completely unused by a majority of players? Diving into the history of the ROBLOX Criminality's Melee Meta, I find out why they have been completely wiped out of the question.
This video covers everything up until V2. I didn’t cover the Brawl update as it felt unnecessary since it had no change on melee use in the main game.

Are we not gonna talk about how they nerfed the grinding method by 100% making the game even harder to play and almost impossible to grind cash with lock picks 💀

  • @HeightsOff

criminality is the embodiment of bad decisions

  • @UltraV12

1.2 was the last and best version of crim. 2.X and above are the worst versions ever, coming besides with 1.3

  • @monobearr

Incredible video def. It’s crazy to think the game was built up around melees but spiraled down into your average gun test game. Also Awesome cinematics and animations dud!!

  • @MORPHENE375

I felt like the turning point for melees, was 1.3. This was the height when guns were Criminality’s top priority with expansion. 1.2 melees wills always be the standard for me, as they even the playing field. Now, the crate you are given feels more like “Take whatever weapons you get out this crate, and f**k up whoever is near by”. Melees just don’t feel lethal enough.

sweats saying melees suck before complaining about dying to a bat with an aks 🔥

  • @Khanical

I’ve always disagreed with this statement, I always see melees as a high skill high reward weapon. Against solos or small groups melees can STOMP even the most prepared duo (except for tier 2+ helmets)

Don't care about criminality, all i want to say here is that this is similar to what happend to mortem mentallum, everybody uses the bow now, does not even matter cuz the game is infested with cheaters anyway.

What's the music in the vid?

Criminality before was a gritty, harsh, "hood simulator" game that heavily rewarded and punished anyone and everyone that scraped by to survive

Really wish that melees would have more features, like having hitting someone while firing flicking their aim, with combo weapons doing more flick stun after each hit and weapons like the sledge or fire axe just having strong flick stun

thanks for talking about the melee montages, I miss them and I miss montages that weren't literally all based off of one video lol.

  • @thatwonguy7352

Really well made video. Very accurate history of the Crim meta. Keep it up!

  • @orby5183

To see my beloved melee's downfall from my time in 1.2 to now actually documented hurts more than anything else, good vid keep up the good work

  • @xxblackbananaxx2693

def, please keep up the good work with these animations. I like to wait 3-4 months for a good video with good editing then just copy paste spam videos.

  • @JordanHasAnAfro

Really High quality stuff. glad to see ur back and with such a banger!

  • @smordus

bro how much effort you put in video is insane

  • @boiledbone3966

I was expecting the Brawl update to shake up the meta alot that or standard but melee only but noooo we got a melee anim revamp which is nice doesn't actually do much with little to no stat changes/buffs. I honestly thought Brawl would be the day of redemption for all melee mains out there but nah its never coming the glory days are over
