    Can you please have captioning. ENGLISH so I can read. I am a Jamaican I want to learn about me. Its hard to get this rich important historical perspective about my people.
    28 dialect in Ghana I am learning Twi.
    Blessings from your sister from Jamaica.

  • @jamaicalikklebuttallawah4725

    I heard the part of Queen Nanny. Yes her picture is on our dallor bill.
    I agree with my friend who commented on divide and conquer strategy. I am here to learn so its important to have a great clean and open dialogue. Respect even when we disagree. I am from Carribean and has been to Africa Nigeria and I was very delighted. Ghana is my next stop then South Africa. I listened to the video and I was grateful to hear about Jamaica.

  • @akwabansiaw3737
    @akwabansiaw3737 Před 5 lety +3

    No the word is 'Dan-si-nkra' and not ' 'DansinkraN' , it means 'roundabout' and is a hairstyle of ancient African queens especially ancient Egypt. Nefertiti's hat is one good example.
    Danesi -- means =turn around
    Nkra-- means = circle.
    So 'dansinkra' means ' turn-around in circle ' . It is the exact description of the queens 'royal hairstyle' where the queen's hair is shaved to give her a rounded shape and a broadened face. The mark of Asante royalty . It has nothing to do with Nkran ( Accra).
    Secondly, there are Sudanese natives and some persons in east and central Africa with the name Asante even as far as India. So it cannot be true that the name Asante evolved at Kwaman(Kumasi) as 'because of war'.
    My advice is, the guy is good at the historical narratives and he must stay as such but should refrain from interpreting words. He may end up destroying the entire history of Asante.

    • @akwabansiaw3737

      @@fivegoalseason to say Ashantis were refugees in Sudan is most uncomplimentary of such a great nation of gallant soldiers who have never been dominated as a people.
      Yes some Ashantis came from Israel, those of the Ettina and the Breteo clans whilst the Oyoko came from Sumeria with the Falcon to rule Egypt. Infact the first king Ameni (Menes)had his capital at Amenfi (Memphis). His descendants are the true royals of Ashanti. They respond to greetings as "ogye me Amene odehyei- ba". His worship brought the name "Kobia Amenfi" ( ie.Go worship at Amenfi). What about AtakoraAmeni ' mender of Ameni funerary disc [Tutu-tar- Ankra-Ameni] as Tutankhameni credited with the restoration of Amen's disk or Pharaoh 'UserMaatri' as 'Osei Maatri'. Please let the pretenders stay off Ashanti else, they would be exposed for their many concocted lies about Ashanti history.
