Looking at their Instagram pictures and people calling them "high quality looking"... We as a society need to re-learn how quality looks like. It's not about the designs shown on their IG photos, it's about the cheap plastic that makes me itchy even though I don't and won't own it

I think the reason ppl say they look ‘high quality’ is because at lot of them are some what affordable not all of them are but ones within the 40-50$ is about as much as I’d pay on a dress to go to a nice event in and when your paying so little in comparison to other brand who sell similar products for prices in the hundreds it probably seems like it’s good quality x

I think brands should be required to disclose if their models are wearing shapewear under their dresses. Often you'll see a dress that seems to have a great shape, but what you buy has absolutely no structure and support and looks very different

I’ve bought dresses from a designer brand MAISIE WILEN, for less money than this, {most all their dresses are 130-200} and they are made of flexible fabrics that actually shape your body. & They’re made of nice quality fabrics. & they’re made sustainably & ethically & it’s namebrand… Paying this much for plastic dresses is crazy

@@summerrain874 well not everyone always has money to buy expensive things. Could be that she saved up to buy the dresses because of how they looked but she does need other clothes too. Don't go around assuming that if people can afford a few nice things that they always can afford pricey things.

Hey Hope, the reason the sparkly dresses are more expensive is because it’s incredibly labour-intensive to attach all those crystals! Usually you can’t find those kinds of dresses for $40-50, and if you do they’ll probably be the kind with powdered glitter just glued on 😂 The light blue dress was a lot more affordable because it would be way quicker to make. The garment workers already don’t get paid enough, so it makes sense that the blingy dresses are a bit pricier.

@@OnnaNiSacheAre she didn’t say they were hand sewn she stated that they are an alternative to glitter. Even glueing on crystals/ rhinestones is so laborious I’m speaking on personal experience and making sure you don’t leave glue stains behind as well. It’s detail oriented.
I think I have seen fabric that sold with crystal on it ready to use ,and it probably made by some kind of machine not labor

Look the fast fashion world has made us believe to our core that things like these should be super cheap, but that’s just one of the problems! I haven’t done research on the brand but maybe this brand actually pays a more livable wage to they’re employees thus the higher price than “normal” (our normal) dresses looked beautiful on you as you always do Hope you’re gorgeous no matter what !

All that extra money went to the big guy's pocket, these were made in Pakistan. They look very cheaply made for something of that price, which is a shame considering how sure I am that none of that money went to whoever made them anyway.
I work at a small locally owned and founded jewelry company and a lot of people question us about prices (which ngl aren't even that much for good jewelry) and my honest go to answer is we make sure everyone in the company is starting above minimum wage. From us on the floor to the people who make our jewelry, everyone is going to be paid fairly. The CEO has straight up said to clients during events stuff along the lines of "We price the way we do so we aren't making someone work for 5 cents a day"

If they're made more ethically, like paying the people who made them good wages, letting them have reasonable hours, etc, I think the price is actually pretty good. I imagine those other dresses weren't, plus prices have gone up significantly recently, so supplies would be more costly.

If they're not a small, ethically run business, you're right the prices suck and so does the lack of size inclusivity, but if they are, well done them!

Okay I just ABSOLUTELY love how honest she is . Especially how they don’t talk about how long you have to wait for a wax which is why I’ve never been able to do it 😂 I can’t handle it Hope you’re the real MVP . Okay but honestly back to the point 😂 the dresses ESPECIALLY THHAT WHITE one. Looked AMAZING on you . And that was the only one I thought was actually worth the price . I don’t think 200 is worth that dress . You can literally find some of the same things as Ross for 20$ and since I was there and had to look for a dress not that formal tho but I did see a lot of gorgeous ones . As someone who sews I don’t think the price is out of line. Fabric is so expensive now not to mention how much embellishments are. They all looked great on you and from a distance they didn’t come of as too cheap.

That's all dependent on whether it's an ethical brand and workers are being paid fairly.
Not always. Not all fabric is expensive. Most is because of inflammation. But, yes they weren’t overpriced. I think they were priced a little cheaper because of how detail it was.
Fabric is expensive in the USA because of how few people sew as a hobby. There are not many fabric stores, and fabric has mostly been imported from other countries that do produce it. When the U.S. manufactured its own fabric and sewing was common, fabric was much cheaper. If you were to buy fabric in Bangladesh/ Pakistan it would be very reasonably priced. And yes, the workers were abused in making the fabric, but if you have a problem with that blame the politicians that exported the U.S. jobs overseas. These garments look overpriced compared to what similar fabrics go for in the US today. This is likely because it pays for all the photos and the legit looking website, but no, they are not good quality. I bought a Gunne Saxe dress for $175 on Modcloth that had WAY more fabric, a nice lining, tiered skirt, and a lot of notions sewn onto it. These dresses are a rip off, please do not waste your money.

OMG THE WAITING TIME BETWEEN WAXES IS A REAL THING! I use to get my bikini line waxed and it was hair free for about a week then I had stubble/hair for the next three weeks until my appointment. I’m now doing laser hair removal and it’s worth it. So worth it, minimal pain, you can shave between appointments. It’s just great 🙌🏻

You looked Stunning in all of those dresses. You talkedk about having to wear foundation garments with them. You should try Shapermint. The bras and camis are really comfortable. I live in Southern Arizona and I was able to wear them all summer long without getting sweaty. Really comfortable and a good fit for those of us who are well endowed in the chest.
