From left to right based on my understanding of their roles and attributes as well as appearances as their negativ interpretations in lore:
The trickster because those are suave, subtle and appear less threatening.
Then the Joker because that is a rather traditional depiction of one as an evil omen with that skullface. They can be a sign of impending death or grat misfortune in the occult.
Then the Jester based on the fact that those are always cruel pranksters that enjoy the misery of others and thus smile truly malevolently.
The Harlequin is the one with the crown which is the traditional harlequin hat, just minus the crown of course, as is also depicted on his card. And is fit for the royal court with his posture.
Next the Fool with a relatively clean slate, blank and anassuming appearance and a more malleable mouth, since they are supposed to be able to go any path, become anything/-one and learn anything they wish to.
Last but not least, the Clown, with his friendly smile the clownnose and that hair he is just as traditional as the Joker and the Harlequin in appearance and just as leathal.
The Council of Laughter is not something you want to piss of , especially the evil version of lore. Because together they can truly screw with your everything psychologically and phisically speaking.

Here's their abilities and power:
Starting from the left
The Trickster: He have abilities to make multiple shadow clone and able to transform himself into anyone. He's also able to completely erased the traces and sounds he make from getting heard as well as allowing him to become invisible. Also when he transform into someone he also receive the memory of the target making him able to be that person perfectly without any suspicion so that he can become a perfect spy to gather information. His weapon is Poisonous Dagger and the poison from this dagger is very potent that can kill an adult person within 5 minutes.
The Joker: Most of his abilities are instant death where he can grasp someones heart and crush it from a distance and instantly kill the target. He also have an aura of decay which make anyone near The Joker to suffer a decaying effect and potentially killing them slowly and painfully. He have a Death Scythe as a weapon and this weapon is also very deadly where he can slashes space itself. It is capable of cleaving through the very fabric of space, and a hit from this powerful attack can disregard virtually any form of magical defense.
The Jester: He is the marksman, he can spawn any gun under his robe or even a rocket launcher and minigun. His shot never miss and he's also very agile able to dodge almost anything instantly. He is very fast, very skilled, and very deadly.
The Harlequin: He is able to stop time of the entire universe for as long as he wants, also he can move anywhere he want using dimensional gate. He can also summon all of his team to his side instantly, and he can also revive his team if they died in battle. His Infinity Cards is his weapon and his cards is very sharp, also he can imbued those card with paralysis effect making the victim unable to move. The Harlequin is immortal he can't die by any means and the only way to stop him is by sealing him.
The Fool: He is the master of martial arts. He doesn't have any magical abilities but his raw power is already threatening enough. He knows a lot of martial arts and he's very strong, also he have a very high magical resistance. He may be doesn't have magical abilities but he has a skill that create a barrier around him that can absorb any magical attack and convert it to heal him. He doesn't need weapon to fight.
And finally the last one (the small one)
The Clown: He is a beast despite his small appearance. He can transform his hands, his foots, his head into Hydra's head. In other words he is a Hydra, he can transform himself into a huge Hydra or just transform parts of his body into a Hydra's head. In his Hydra form he can spit acidic breath that can melt anything and if his head got cut it can grow back again in a few minutes. He can also split himself into two or three.
And I think that's all I can imagine.

I can picture them having a weapon of choice to differentiate themselves, from left to right.
The trickster, would have like a scythe to go along with his style and more terrifying approach.
The joker, he’ll have these claws to show his more gore like self when dealing with people.
The jester, he’ll have dull daggers to show how swift and cunning he is.
The harlequin, he’ll obviously have the sword to show his leadership among the rest, he is the body of how the group not only represents death and terror, but also how to conduct oneself in a manner befitting of the title from one of their group, that isn’t completely savage like.
The fool, he’ll have a claymore or giant axe, he is the heavy lifter among them; a perfect weapon for someone of his stature.
Last but not least,
The clown, I’ll call the clown a she as I think a woman would add a more interesting atmosphere for a diverse group of exceptional individuals. Her weapon of choice would be alchemy or dark magic, to show her more feminine and lethal nature.

This is how I'd envision their characters:

The Jester: (far left) the badass one, is the kindest of the group, even holds a secret soft spot for civilian lives. He originates from a far away land and travelled west in search of a long-time foretold prophesy his mother once bestowed upon him. Perhaps this crowned man he stands before could be the very prophesy that once infatuated him....
The Harlequin: (second to the left) the most cruel, bloodthirsty and wrathful of the group. He never got on well with his comrades, due to his violent and barbaric nature. His mask adorns the skull of his deceased wife. The day he lost her in a tragic murder, he lost part of himself aswell. The only rights he knows in this world now are bloodshed and revenge....
The Trickster: (left of crown) Cunning and swift, she has accomplished many things from within the shadows. It is not without doubt that she accepted her new king, and it is believed that she may have conspired against the crown in the past. With exeception of the group, no man nor woman has ever seen her and lived to tell the tale....
The Joker: (crown) The head of the group and undoubtedly smart leader. It is because of him that their group has gone so far to begin with, he is the man who united these villains and forged their dreams into fruition, courtesy of his charismatic stature and hopeful gaze. Though most members are often confused and doubtful of The Joker's dreams, it is clear that, without him, they would have all perished long ago. However, he fears that his growing sickness, which he has harboured since birth, shall sentense an early death for both him and his many dreams/ambitions yet to be realized. Determined as he is, The Joker is a hard man to understand and his plans are far beyond a mere human's comprehension. He may have lived as a weak and frail man, but someday he shall die a collosus....
The Ace: (large one, right of crown) A giant among his people, he serves as the brawn of the group. Being the strongest member, he has never lost a duel. A man of very few words, he holds dear a strong code of honor, and often finds himself fighting The Harlequin because of their lack of such. He is the most loyal and trusted to the crown. He and The Joker are long-time friends, they even grew up together. The Ace is the only man who knows of the kings true goal and, although he doesn't understand it, is more than willing to follow his king into whatever hell they traverse....
The Fool: (small one, right of crown) If The Joker was hard understand, then this man is impossible. He's a small and timid fellow, and without ever really proving himself otherwise, he's assuredly the least competent of the group, Only ever expressing his comical persona. However one must think, "why is he here?", "how does he contribute?". Some believe he holds multiple personas, forever contradicting himself and bringing meaning to things others might seem uninterested of. There is something about this young man, something that, perhaps the king noticed too. Is it luck that has kept him alive? is it destiny that has brought him this far? who could say. Perhaps he yearns for an easy life, perhaps he seeks the crown instead. or perhaps, something more....

I decided to switch some of the names.
I made the crowns name 'The Joker' because I thought it carries the best sense of prestige and authority.

I decided that 'The Trickster' was named such because of their stealthy assassin-like nature and should be female as they look more feminine than the others in the image.

From what I understand, 'Harlequin' is usually a title befitting of crazed murderers or psychopaths, so I decided the most demented of them should be 'The Harlequin' (second left)
The Large one is known as 'The Ace' due to his unmatched fighting prowess, and given that he's usually the king's trump card whenever a dire situation arises. (large, right of crown)
I didn't like 'The Clown' so I decided to just scrap it altogether and name him 'The Fool'. I also thought this one should be a man instead, perhaps a boy even (small, right of crown)
Lastly, 'The Jester' is just called that via process of elimination and its a pretty cool name aswell. (far left)

Sadly those are some of our world leaders nowadays.
A group of assassins who are clearly bold enough to leave their calling card in blood after their 'performance'...
Throne room is in ruins... Golden chair that was used by seven generation of kings, was now stained by it's last king's blood... Whole house of royalties lied down on the floor, lifeless and yet very fresh corpses.
What could have caused this? Coup d'etat of the envious cousins? No, they were back stabbed by razor sharp swords, four blades exact.
Perhaps it was invasive army who had claimed kingdom for themselves? That cannot be, since entire army laid down on streets of the capital and castle once so shining that people used to call place "Light Castle".
No... This was no work of normal man... But by gang of six outsider's...
Wearing scarlet robes and white mask's... Each one with creepy smile carved on them, were only ones standing in this room filled with disaster.
Princess, the last breathing member of the royal family, was knelled down and holding her bleeding side of her left face.
This was suppose to be her most remarkable day, as it was Wedding day for her.
Now she had nothing left, thanks to these 6 tricksters.
"Why... Why did you...? What had we ever done to you??"
Leader of the masked invader's was sitting on king's throne and was holding royal crown on his long fingers.
"My oh my... Irony, don't you think? You think this job has some link? Kingdom we just went to pass by pure chance? Or should we had to ask invitation for dance??"
"You... You killed them all...!!! Just like that??"
Man behind mask smile in joy when he heard young girls whimpering cry... And was even more pleased when he saw her look turning from sad and grieving into angry and toxic stare towards him and their gang.
Who know what was going in this madman's head, but he clearly had some twisted plans for her.
"Perhaps, are you mad for grieve? Vengeance for you want to live?"
Man who called himself "Fool", rose up and walked down the stair and stared little girl with his red eyes.
"Very well... Let's see how your luck fares.... Run away now if you dare... No Trickster, no Joker, no Clown, no Harlequin nor Jester will go after you. That is, of course last until afternoon... Run, hide, fight or die... Fine by me... If you survive first, indeed..."

@@aereiq I see so she was set free in the world she didn't die to the council because it's more fun to keep her alive as in the end she will burn herself in her own anger truly such a poor soul she could've been a queen for the joyous but alas she was unable to see the joy truly now her only companion is the hatered deeply seeded in her heart and the knowledge that she at the end of everything is weak unable to do anything to the council the only queen she can be now is of some farmers or dukes heart I wonder how will she live like this what will she tell her offsprings to hate the council or to steer clear of them or perhaps to take revenge so many possibilities so many different stories I wonder truly wonder

I don’t quite know why, but I like to think that these six jesters of sorts, were a guild from Overlord (the anime) and were also transported to the world that Ains got sent to as well.
Thinking this, along with this Godlike music, just made it even more epic.
But there's six of them not five, and I think you've mentioned the overlord "the anime" because of their black hollow eyes with the two reddish dots inside each one of them.
If we got that in the next season. Then I would be sold.

The hero in the middle pulls his two handed sword and drags it along the floor as he walks towards them while they all laugh at the heroes.

What happened next was a whirlwind of blades, blood, and vengeful laughter.
The one in the center with the crown looks surprisingly like the concept I had for an outer god in a setting I'm currently creating
