okay time to cry a little: i knew it had to based somewhat on real feelings because like they are giving up their youth. i mean i think the age range for them is 21-25. they came together in 2018 meaning they have lost the tail end of their teens and all of their college years really.

He could never make many friends because they all left or debuted without him, and when he was the only trainee left, he struggled with suicidal thoughts and depression. In his own words, stray kids really did save him and I’m glad he was able to find a family in them ❣️

This song hits so much harder when you think about it specifically as Chan’s story… like 8 years as a trainee is insaneeee 😓😓 just to get to this point and still have these issues with people doubting you. So proud of SKZ and love your videos on them!
The youth part feels like Chan, but the "fan" persecution feels more like Felix's and Hyunjin's experiences. But honestly, it's all of them, and all k-pop industry and idol culture. I love them, but I hope being idols gave them more than *this*

Honestly I feel like this song reflects so many stories from the culture of idols and for much they go through Just to reach where they are… like sadly I feel that all idols could relate to at least some of these lyrics, but I definitely think Bang Chan has experienced a lot having been a trainee for SO LONG and not even knowing whether he was going to debut or not and whether any of it was worth it
@@user-hf6fm1lo2b Bangchan got the Ive thing which felt like massive misunderstanding, the "insensitive stuff" was Hannie but also like in context he was like 13 and hadnt said much different than what stupid 13 year old kids say when trashtalking without understanding what they are saying properly. It wasn't something he should've been eviscerated for and a sad reflection of what happens when too much of our learning to person is out there immortalized in typed out font to be ripped forward at any time without clarity of when-where it came from or what growth the person has had since.

YES! I was really surprised he didn't point this out. You can feel like you're being eaten alive at times when outside opinions, judgments and expectations force their way into your head.
To me, this sequence with Seungmin is one of the most disturbing. He's squeezed into that narrow hallway, with nowhere else to go, doubts and questions chasing him and then he is surrounded and on the verge of being chewed up and swallowed by it all. 😧 Horrifying.

Social path honestly broke me when it was released. It's been a while since skz have done such a coming of age/dystopia concept and it was fun to see. Bang Chan saying that he wrote social path wanting people to be able to relate to it and he succeeded because this hit home. The lyricism and concept were flawless and literally had me writing an essay on it + collaborating with LiSA was like my multiverse of madness - Thanks for reacting Jordan, as an aspiring video editor you always teach me sm

Interesting interpretations of the song. I like what you thought of.
Chan has talked about how he wrote the lyrics about his years as a trainee. Since he was a trainee for 7 years, he has seen a lot of mental suffering watching all his friends either debut without him, or get dropped from the programs.
Chan has always looked up to LiSA & the Kids were very excited to collaborate with her.
Let's see. Things I noticed in the MV.
-The bag people seem to be representative of both faceless people who are both worshiping & hating at the same time, or inner doubts & thoughts that come when they are alone.
-I.N is the first to stand against the tide of people & grasp the light.
-Everyone stays isolated till Chan gets taken by the hands. They all had separate things happening. Being isolated, being stared at, being forced to constantly run, being chained in one place, etc. Then Chan is taken & they are suddenly moving.
-LiSA seems to be a unified voice leading them in a direction. She has the lines " the ashes to prove my passion burning endlessly" (Or close to it....I am horrible at remembering exact lyrics)
-When they are unified & moving against the crowds, the ones who are most able to withstand pressure without flinching are in the lead. (Lee Know, and Changbin are the most obvious at the front making a path for the others)
-When they reach the wall Chan had been trapped against, they tear it open. There is only 7 of them when this happens....They are going through to reach Chan. (Chan has said in multiple instances that the other members have saved him. If it wasn't for them, he doesn't even think he would be on this planet)
-When they are 8 is the only time you see them smile.
-There are shadowy hands that are trying to touch Changbin in the beginning, and just as he wakes up you see clawed hands reflected in his eyes/the moon.
-Felix's wing actually kinda seems slightly separate from him. Almost as if he has a guardian angel protecting him. It lifts & reveals him a little before starting to cover him again.
-In the final dance scene, the only ones with no red in their outfit are Chan, Changbin, and Felix. I listened to someone explain that the colours kinda mean something. LiSA has a strong red & black theme. She seems to represent courage & determination. The others have red in their outfits because they gained those from outside sources. (Like the other members, or helpful people) The three who have no red are ones who already had those and didn't get them from an outside source. Changbin & Felix are the least effected during the MV. Felix already had an inner fire, and Changbin refused the shadowy hands. Chan was taken, but he didn't stop trying to escape. There are many flashes of Chan staring ahead, or jerking awake & not just allowing himself to be swallowed. You see him float above the people who took him, until the others break through to him.
This is an amazing interpretation. I love it

Not only does Jordan react to it, like the editing and song... he even took the time to take clips from other Stray Kids content to prove his point. (I also got reminded of their origin color and style, Red and Fire, maybe because of Chan's source and that's another reason why i love Social Path so much) Showing skz survival show clips really hit the bull's eye on how Stray Kids have given up their youth for their dreams. And pointing out LiSA's role is a five star review coz Stray Kids have seniors they look up to as much as they also consistently send the message that stray kids everywhere all around the world make stray kids stay. So that's a double role on LiSA as both the senior whow guides them to a well founded future and another stray kid they're adding on their journey.

this is in my opinion one of the most lore filled stray kids mv (after the clé triology). Another meaning of the paper bag people is that they are anxiety itself (which we can see in the first lee know scene on which hes on the bed and the bag people are trying to take him down ig???) so its overall an amazing music video

This reaction of yours takes my appreciation to another level. Social Path lyrics and music are awesome and then you break down the technical wizardry of how, and meaningfully, why editing, lighting and special effects have been used. The group as a whole are incredibly talented and I truly appreciate the support team that assists them to bring this magic to our viewing. Also being that close to Felix's eyes will cause brain cells to over activate - breathe.
