like i understand she is the patroller of jinzhou, and the act of rover absorbing crownless without the pangu is suspicious as hell, but come on... at least let them breath first or says thanks...

Treat the rover with hostility upon meeting him, since he is someone unknown, but once they are saved, have more trust towards him, not the way that happened with Chixia, since, once the rover saved them, she pointed a fucking cannon in his face. It's something basic but I think it would have worked better.
God I wish they’d kept the CBT story in the final release, the tone feels so much more distinct and realistic and gives you a better peek at what it’s like to live in a world infested by danger than just getting special treatment and awe immediately

I feel so sad right now. Finished Arc 1 Ch 6, and found out that not even a single scene from CBT 1 is here in global release. Everything's scraped, these masterpiece is gone forever 😢

I personally quite like the middle and end part of the current story but i agree the beginning part of cbt cutscenes is way more fitting maybe they could change a little bit of it like that chixia scene but the cutscenes that we have currently is just a bit underwhelming compared to cbt version but fot the middle to end story chapter i think its great

i feel like i like the tone better... even if there was necessary rewriting for some scenes. i think the tone and especially the first scenes shock factor was all gone, the crownless used to be so much more menacing it would have actually gave light on why the mc is so well known for her past

Sticking to one's vision is crucial and it earns respect. Dark Souls didn't become a genre defining franchise by listening to casuals for fk sake. Hell even Genshin lowkey shows the middle finger to most feedback because miHoyo has their own vision for what the game is supposed to be. That’s why they succeeded in the gacha gaming industry.
MC had to won that trust which actually he does chixia and baizhi was angry at us cuz her friend got hurt saving a random stranger its the most human like behavior dude but later on when chixia was in pinch in Qichi village MC helps her and she also apologizes for her mistakes, this is called character growth. in baizhi's case when she completes her investigation of spirit of gorges after crownless battle she comes to find out it was somehow manipulated fight which she puts out infront of Jiyan at Knell square and that MC had no involvement in crownless appearing out of nowhere after it was defeated 13 years ago. They were worried because of the fact that they had to fight this feaful enemy again which threatened Jinzhou once. this is called backstory which gives proper weight to every thing happening in the story. there's actual flow in the story. The PLOT IS BEING DRIVEN BY THE MC and HIS MOTIVES. HE IS NOT A MERE PLOT DEVICE.
..... what u are trying to say he needs to get his harem right from the start where every one is bootlickers of MC for no reason. he is prophesized to be the jesus messiah of Jinzhou for no fking reason because a literal magical being told some one in that person's fkin dream.... ever saw any character in the current story cut destroyed to pieces until no existence is remaining. there were proper flashbacks in CBT 1 which showed MC as the warrior of some past battle highlighting that he needs to do it again but doesn't know how? here in the launch version we got a fking look into future for one second into dreamless echo for what? why is she there? did current plot explained that? no She was just there for because PLOT NEEDS TO BE THERE. MC has to fight that dreamless BECAUSE THE PLOT NEEDS HIM TO FIGHT DREAMLESS. no because there's a goal or motivation. He is fighting someone else's war half asleep because a prophecy told the nation they will be saved by this complete stranger who has no memories? are u serious? The MC is mere plot device in this story whenever plot needs him to do anything he does it. but there's no explanation there is no backstory there is not character development.
Ever wondered why the overlord bosses exist? nope they are just there for the sake of farming. What a joke. the CBT version gave them a background, lampylumen mydriad was connected to the feeding on the souls of deadpeople. Morning aix was connected to Yinlin. and the list goes on and on.
dude u really need to play some games before make this of statement. WuWa is created/based wartime situation, so it automatically shifts the tone of the game to dark themes, The game did portray it perfectly in CBT 1 but people like u who want to be worshipped by pretty cute girls ruined it all. There is no hint struggle or actual will power of MC shown anywhere in the game. The characters speaks like robots programmed to stay in one tone forever.

And second even I think the Released story is not that great, but CBT1's story isn't that better. Every character distrusts you and treats you like garbage *EVENTHOUGH THE MC HAS PROVEN HIMSELF MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE STORY!* it’s like if Naruto saves Konoha from Pain but everyone still treated him like garbage instead of trust and respect or if the Traveler saves Mondstat from Stormterror, but the KoF arrested them instead. I don't mind is a character doesn't trust Rover *AT THE START* , but don't expect me to care about the characters if they still don't trust the MC even though they proved themselves to be trustworthy.
But all of this is my opinion of course and I can respect your opinion.
If this is the story kuro decided to use in official… I would love the game more cuz the explanation is much clearer. Now everything is just confusing AF and the only part worth remembering is chapter 6

CN didn't take this masterpiece away from us, their main complaint was "no matter what we do it became impossible to gain anyone's trust" and instead Kuro made the story into the generic isekai harem type where everuone trusted you at the start. CN didnt like this version either it's not their fault

So this is what CN players got pissy about....? they got mad that people who live on a post apocalyptic planet with danger at their doorstep would be apprehensive about a stranger who came out of nowhere and has unexplainable powers... give me a break dude. also the way Kuro got everyone to appear atleast once in this version instead of them just showing up randomly at the end like the godamn avengers or like some of the legit 5 stars not at all....

Edit: Since I see all the replies just bashing on CN players saying they complained cause a waifu was mean to them, I'd like to say that wasn't the issue. The crux of the issue was pointless fetch quests + the constant disrespect even after Rover proves themselves many times over. You get a gun pointed to your head after saving yangyang and co from a monster that almost kills them, and then you get kill stealed by Lingyang who was called Awu in CBT 1, and everyone praises him, with him even going 'Why are you even here'.
If you check the above link, most of the CN players complaints was that, and even with CBT 2, while they share similar sentiments that Kuro has maybe overcorrected, they all agree it is much better than CBT1. There's also the fact that the story was a common complaint from all the regions of CBT, including the West as well. Acting like its only CN cause of waifu stuff is just being duplicitous. There are times when CN does do that, but this isn't one of them.
It's the fact that eventhough the MC proved themselves as trustworthy, everyone still hates them for no reason. That's the reason why CBT1 is hated.

Tbh, the CN should've never had a choice to even change one bit of the story. It was already perfect the way it is until they changed it into a game that seemingly looked like it could be a Harem Game at the Start of the story.
The Story could've been A LOT MORE LONGER, AND WE COULD'VE MET MORE CHARACTERS WITH JUST ONLY ONE PATCH! I'm blaming it all on CN and any CBT Testers that are responsible for such nonsensical feedbacks

Tbh, the part where you engage with the Crownless for the first time was good. And the Story letting us know the fact that anyone could die at anytime and the Distrust of Chixia was the best thing I could've asked for. It could make Rover seem like more of a Game Changer if everyone almost dies fighting an Elite Boss while we're fighting them without a Struggle. It would amplify the reason why different factions are desperate to have us as their companion, or a pawn

Nonsensical Feadbacks?
Most of CN's feedbacks are valid. The characters still treat the MC like garbage even after providing themselves they can be trusted, it creates a situation where the player doesn't care about the characters because of that.

this is 1000 x better than the released ver. because how everyone reacts to rover since rover in an outsider, made scar look 100x scarier and badass than the original, crownless very badass, very realistic, more violent, very awesome, not kiddie kiddie or friendly friendly like the original and feel like post apocalyptic but there are some part in the released version that are good especially the final arc.
It rly does make me sad just how rly good writing for the story was all just... Scrapped, just to appease people who couldn't appreciate rawer and more realistic emotions, as well as that srsly interesting bit before rover woke up... 😢

What the hell, there are actually cutscenes introducing all the characters? It felt especially weird when Taoqqi and the others just suddenly showed up during the last battle in the global release. At least here the most of the cast have some sort of intro

well, what can I say ... this plot looks better, more coherent, you meet all the characters that are in the banners, everything is more logical, not everyone is friendly to mc at the beginning, there is no feeling of an ordinary isekai harem, why would they change everything, if they just continued the plot from cbt 1, it would have been better and there would have been more content, since there was no need to waste time on unnecessary crap ...

how is cbt a 10/10 and final a 4/10? man this sucks.
Why would they listen to those stupid cn infantile kids and scrap everything? CBT2 and release story just barely holds and is way too similar to genshin and other isekai shiet. Especially how badly is Yinlin's story quest written and directed, shows it was made in a rush. The only hope is 1.1 going to steer the story from the dumb path.
Now I guess that the real culprit behind all those bad changes in story and mechanics are not cn players, but rather Tencent who is investor of Wuthering Waves, telling them "to play safe" and just copy the shiet that worked once already.
Dude, why mc can't talk? The thing they ARE talking and having dialogue lines, even emotional ones, makes it even more stupid that genshin is doing. I really hope they will make voice lines for mc at the release.
