I respectfully disagree, I couldn’t continue watching this show if they killed one of the trio. They are the heart of the show and it’s been so wonderful seeing their characters develop over the seasons as well as their group dynamic. If we instead had to endure Mabel & Oliver heartbroken and trying to solve the murder of their dear friend for an entire season that wouldn’t leave much room for the comedic aspect of the show which is one of the most enjoyable parts for me. I don’t really get the comparison to GoT because of the vast difference in material - the deaths of the main characters fit the overall dark theme of GoT but with OMITB I feel that it would change the tone of the series significantly.
I can’t believe she died at first I thought it was Charles and I was shocked but when I saw sazz I got teary eyed 😢

Sazz served her purpose.... The original purpose of body doubles WAS to take the bullet for the orginal

Its so amazing how the creators managed to hide the side quest of Charles' near deaths as just a inconvenient timing only for all of us to now remember how it was him and him alone who was in any dangerous situation (the heart attack doesn't count).
no no they can’t kill anyone if the main characters GOT style ! no. they all have to be happy at the end
for the 'J' to be of any use, we need to assume that she actually SAW her killer. this was a sniper shot, seen clearly by the window. Jane is in prison and even if she got out for 'some' reason, I think she liked Charles enough to not kill him...yet. I just can't see Joyce having some sort of hidden sniper skills. She seemed very 'straightforward' with Charles the entire time even before they started dated. I feel like that would have come out eventually. I think this is simply someone form his past that is simply yet unintroduced. Each season shows a new character we haven't met yet if they are truly of any 'real' importance. Joyce was....not necessary. I don't think we can 'figure' this one out. It's someone completely unknown. HOWEVER, I would NOT doubt that we will meet this killer in the very first episode or two.

I love your OMITB reviews. You are so good! I binged season 3 then watched all your reviews which were perfect post season 3. I just can’t get on board with Charles dying. I don’t want any of the trio to die or be the killer! I did think that the shot was intended for Charles and Saz got shot by accident, but I’m not sure if she’s dead???
So cannot wait for season 4. ❤❤❤
Also, I read months ago they already re upped for season 4 and /or they were filming season 3 & 4 around the same time

I thought I saw something that Chevy Chase would be somehow involved. I have mixed feelings about this. It would be cool to have the 3 amigos back together.
Though, Chevy Chase is not known to be likable off camera.
The reason why all 3 seasons works to date is because of the good rapport between all the actors and crew. It takes just one person, to break that off camera work experience.
I'm nervous for season four because of Chevy Chase. I hope I'm wrong... about it all. I hope that I'm sooo wrong.

Chevy would have to make a quick cameo. If the whole show was him in it I wouldn't like it
I don't think Sazz died..... U don't get shot in the middle of the chest with a sniper round and manage to write a message in your blood, UNLESS its non lethal
Too early to say who kiled Sazz. We always see red herrings and never see the true murderer until season 8 or 9

They killed off Bunny …. Now Sazz …. The two actresses were just perfection and we won’t be able to see them anymore. Why didn’t they kill off Howard? Or Sevelin??? (Howard’s new cat)
I only hope that they bring back Jan and Cinda. And why wasn’t Cinda in the finale of season 3? Why wasn’t she in the audience with Uma and Matthew Broderick? wasn’t Uma and Matthew Broderick the cutest couple? They had very simple lines but they just blasted those lines out into comedy heaven, and I loved listening to their patter.
Exactly how would Sazz have seen or known who shot her???

I’m gonna echo everyone’s sentiment in that Charles dying would not have been good. Making the comparisons to GoT doesn’t seem fitting either. Martin Short and Steve Martin are some of the most iconic beloved comedians of our generation while GoT was a cast of comparative nobodies and no way would that test well.
That said, I would have been ok letting the audience think Charles died at the end and s4 start with the reveal it was actually Sazz

Eyem not a fan of GOT and this show is far from that vibe so it would be a terrible choice for them to kill the main 3. Ppl were upset that this season they were barely together so eye think killing one of them would really lose a lot of viewers. Eye would stop watching the show if they killed any of them.
No what would have been really fun was if they hadn't told us who it was that was shot. And she better be dead--no psych outs - thought it was a pretty direct it to the chest let's be honest..
btw Scott Bakula is going to be performing on stage in NYC (in real life I mean) so if they get that SAG?AFTRA stike up it's not like he won't be nearby.....I'm just saying..

Agreed - she felt like schlap stick comedy but now I’m glad she was the one who took the bullet, not Charles. Not to be mean but that was a great use for her on the show, lol
