This is a beautiful example of a CLEAN 3rd Gen and REASONABLE LS Swap. Too many guys get carried away with worrying about 1,000+HP, forged everything, new heads etc, when all you need to do is freshen up a junkyard 5.3, bearings, rings, Cam upgrade, Valve Springs, clean up the heads, new rocker trunnions, valve/seat grinds and the Torqstorm. This thing likely puts an easy 500+Hp to the tire and that is more than enough for the average guy.....especially considering what this car originally came with. Congrats on the car. You should be proud of your build and restraint, because it's too easy to get carried away and spend too damn much.
That’s sweet. Bob met be to close to TB tho. I installed my TorqStorm about a year ago. Picked up a quick 130hp. So far I love it. Made in America money well spent.
I would try to use a much bigger air filter and have it pulling air from the front and not behind the radiator either. There is alot of room in the front of 3rd gen f bodys to run it. Even just a larger filter would be very helpful. Even if you don't re route it.
I would have got a cam grind made for a supercharger application. When i put the engine together i didn’t think i would add boost to it. It still runs great tho
@DODGEramDAMN have a recommendation what you would choose for the current set up you have? I have seen that the BTR Centrifugal cam has actually caused power loss for a few guys. The newer Red Hot grind has been being mentioned alot.
@DODGEramDAMN according to Richard that's the truth! I have a TSP Bald Eagle right now & it's ok NA but trying to set myself up for a Torqstorm around tax time since the motor is out & everything is getting some fresh paint. I have checked into Cam Motion & actually have 1 of the centrifugal grinds saved. Guess I just need to give them a call & see what they say.

Engine bay is really clean. I'm surprised to not see more people running this intake manifold setup.
Sweet ride! Great job on the build!
It would look sick with IROC Z decals on the doors even if it’s not a IROC Z, and a louvered IROC hood if it fit, I love those hoods!
Nice clean build!
Real dad right there! Got the playpen In the garage to watch the kid an work .. I know the struggle brother 😂
🤣 yup put him in baby jail while i work
Looks good!!
Beautiful
Damn that’s pretty sweet
That engine bay is sick! I’m pretty sure I met you at detail garage 👍

What engine do you have it on at what boost?
@@travisabrahamson5092 I have the L76 6.0 motor using the 3.1” pulley @8.5 # of boost.

Good job
That’s cool!
Bad ass love ❤️ it
Very nice
Nice..
We’re did u get ur spoiler
Do you think the head unit would clear a stock Iroc hood? Can’t find much info! Looks like it might?
Yeah it looks like it would clear just fine
@@DODGEramDAMN would you say it sits lower than the top of strut tower cap? Hard to tell in vid, looks great!
If you had to do it over would you choose a different cam? I am in the process of building a 78 Nova with almost all the same parts is why I ask?!

@@ahlers1977i haven’t really looked into new cams that much, they say any cam is a boost cam lol i would look into Cam-motion they make good stuff

What is ur rwhp mybad idk why my autocorrect messed my last comment up
Is the oiling self contained?
Yes . TorqueStorm superchargers have self contained oiling.
How much horsepower do you have and at what boost??
Haven’t dynoed it, 550-580hp seems like. It makes 15lbs with a smaller pully
I didn’t know they made different pulleys so please help me so I can order it … please and thank you fam

Torqstorm website has a 4", 3.5", 3.25", and a 3.1". Pulleys
What exhaust are you running
Speed engineering headers and the rest was custom made. Single 3” with a dynomax race muffler
Its on backwards brother
What’s on backwards lol
Lmao
