thank you for your kind review, madam. i was wondering to buy Martin M630 and after watching your video i'm going to buy this. Thank you.
You are very welcome 😊🎼
Thanks for the video.
You are welcome!
I have two MAKALA BARITONE UKES. I will try the Martins next. I just bought the Aquila in red package, working pretty well. I love the smooth melody of a baritone
Thanks for the video just ordered the Martins 😊🎵
Brilliant!
Thanks for the comparison. I haven't played my baritone in a while and I need to replace my strings. I believe I put Brown Worth strings on there previously but since they are at least 3x the price of the Martin strings I decided to give the Martin strings a try. Based on your video, I'm sure I'll like them.
You are very welcome :)
Martin! Thanks for the video, I'm trying to decide which strings to buy and this was so helpful!
Glad I could help :)
Hi! I’ve been using both the Martin Baritone and D’Addario for years! But what I do is have the E and B Martin strings put on, and the wound G and D A’Addario Titanium on together. Even though I prefer the G D Martins, I find that they don’t last very long, and since I don’t change the strings myself, I opt for putting both on. The D G Titaniums last well……However, just for the sound, which is deep….the Martins are terrific!
Sounds great, thanks for posting 😊🎼
I also prefer the Martin strings. I have the same Ohana baritone you use in some of your videos and I love it,
I have Martin strings in my Ohana, it’s my favourite Baritone but not as forgiving as the Makala. 😊🎼
Which ones do you find softer for the fingers? I have D'Addario Low G Flurocarbons on my Tenor and the change from what was originally on it was insane. An amazing sound but more importantly they are so much softer for the fingers which for me is super important. Thanks
Personally l find the Martin softer. 😊🎼
@@FourInchCats As I like Fluorocarbon strings I decided to go with Living Waters strings as they are all Fluorocarbon. Ordered them from the UK. Hopefully they will sound great as well as being soft under the fingers. Thanks for your demonstration of these two sets of strings. Appreciated.
@@oneseekinglight9491 You are very welcome :)
Hi, what strings would you suggest for a more folk sound, like steel on guitar?
I haven't found any non-steel strings that come close to sounding like steel strings. Steel strings requirement an instrument that was specifically built to take them. Fortunately more steel string instruments are becoming available although they are more expensive than non-steel string.
@@FourInchCats oh, thanks.
Are there strings with a bit lower sound and sharp highs?
@@truffeltroll6668 l haven’t tried all brands, so hard to say. If you really want the steel string sound, there really is no substitute. If the steel string Ukes are not budget friendly, perhaps consider a four string cigar box guitar in Uke tuning. They are lots of fun and steel strings 😊
@@FourInchCats thanks, I guess I'll look into tenor guitars
@@truffeltroll6668 Welcome. I'm not sure where you are based, but Tenor guitars can sometimes be hard to find other than online. But don't be discouraged, they are definitely worth it. And please let me know how you go. :)
What Makala Baritone is that?
Model MK-B 80
Martin!
I love the Martin strings.
