So much nostalgia in 2023!

Salute. JMT forever
Lets gooo
Still standing
2024 check in
Bet!
“Beast deceiving us, ways devious, possessing my peeps to walk the streets with stolen heat like Prometheus” has been a top 5 underground line for 20 years. Erudite and hardcore all at once, so sick
Nah fr. Jus Allah's verse from beginning till end is just near flawless. The shit he says is so fire. The way he delivered it. For sure a top 3 verse of al time
Hip Hop aint dead, it just lives underground..
BugzProjects Respect to you man
Hip Hop cant be dead because Wu-Tang is forever !
Hip Hop never died, the real hip hop always stayed underground
JMT is not really underground now. Vinnie is much more popular than before and he popularized JMT and AOTP.
A comment has never been so real 100%
Jedi Mind Tricks is criminally underrated and under appreciated.

Corny, rudimentary poetry. Even Dylan doesn't play well on the page among the great poets. Is it good for rap? Yeah, let's not pretentious.
This music is like drugs, literally dopamine rush. I didn't understand it years ago, and now that I'm older and see the illusion that we've all been fed... it just hits so different and speaks to your soul.

I'm 32. My friend best friend, Warren, at the time introduced me to "underground" and this album when I was 12. Unfortunately we don't talk anymore as time has passed. However, this music brings back so many memories of those time! Who is in the same boat?
Bro, I feel that; I used to blaze with my friends in Highschool listening to Jedi Mind Tricks. It was dope, but nowadays... sort of just reminiscing over the old times, I feel like an old-timer, and I found my first white hair like 3 months ago despite the fact I'm 30 (Guess it's stress). This era of hip hop was the golden era of hip hop, now there isn't much lyricism to be found, and most bars are basic.
@@InVinoVeratas Sounds like great times man! Brings back Similar Memory’s to what I had too. Wish you best of luck in whatever your future holds 💯
Same age but it was my oldest cousin, my favorite person when I was 12 and my biggest influence. We haven't spoken in a decade.
A thug changes, and love changes
And best friends become strangers, word up..
That's funny cause I'm 36 and I had a really good friend named Warren and he introduced me to OutKast back before they became mainstream. That was pretty much my entry into underground hip-hop. We don't talk anymore either cause life.

Yeah all that song did was make me want to listen to this cause it's 100x better. I knew about this song already though, a lot of people will have no idea.
@@kylebaker8502 thats a completely unneccessary comparison, as the songs are about two completely different things. Its not like JMT owns the sample.

First verse has an impeccable flow
Sir Banastre Tarleton Planetary always comes correct
Sir Banastre Tarleton but does it hold any meaning? Thats what makes a solid flow count, anybody can rhyme.

It is a bada$$ beat now, listen to The Light by Joey Bada$$
I've been a JMT fan since 2001. Still amazes me that people don't listen to masterpieces like this.
i guess we aint peoples
These songs hit too hard, and most of the people aren't ready for this because they listen to weak, idiotic rap music. This makes me feel more adult than others of my age
Joyop I respect you for listening to this type of music because I like some older music and I’m also young but I think mostly everyone can know the meaning of this song by paying attention they aren’t dumb
I fuck with liquid swords too
I'm a lizard demon
[Verse 1: Planetary]
In my historical oracle, I blast metaphorical
Editorials educatin' in my territorial
Get torn, heavily armed with seventy bombs
That'll blast divine like the heavenly psalm
Your men'll be gone if they explore my deepest thought
I beat hearts in two, then ask demons for chalk
I'm dreamin' to stalk emcees in the dark
I walk blindfolded, the mind's golden, watch how you talk
My style is a art, recognize lyrical purity
All hell breaks loose like a mall with no security
The dopest vocalist, with my third eye I focus with
I proceed, flow with the speed of a Indie motorist
There's more to this than wasted shiny chains and bracelets
I hit tracks, my tongue waits for the brains to blaze it
Amazin' angelic, tell it to your people
("Your mic and my mic, come on, yo, no equal")
[Hook]
Illadelph is like the Sun, 'cause we shine with rhymes
The underground is like the Moon: you only see us at times
And at times with light skies when the stars recline
Jedi Mind, Outerspace, coincide and combine
[Verse 2: Jus Allah]
Raw poems, bury your body in catacombs
Rip your soul from your limbs like brims from Jim Jones
In the Twilight Zone we disperse cowards
Vampires that stalk earth on reverse hours
Night calls, we target your facade
My latitude is God, darts out my jaws leave eternal scars
You're left breathin' out of tube straws by the marksmen
Harnessin' science for demolishin' the charlatan
Raps will make you parallax
My domain has power to block synapse inside veins
War shots fired off by the army type warlocks
Devil's plan is to have you drip in the Clorox
Beast deceivin' us, ways devious
Possessin' my peeps to walk streets
With stolen heat, like Prometheus
Elements rushin' you back to hell again
Illadelphians crush your skeleton to fuckin' gelatin
[Hook]
Illadelph is like the Sun, 'cause we shine with rhymes
The underground is like the Moon: you only see us at times
And at times with light skies when the stars recline
Jedi Mind, Outerspace, coincide and combine
[Verse 3: Vinnie Paz]
Don't ever come to me with war
I've severed scores of orators
Rappers fall onto all fours like minotaurs
With Jedi Mind and the Planetary be bombin' this
We stand one step above you like a pharmacist
With Ominous, detonate the bomb
Heads dread hallucinogenics since Vietnam
I spit a psalm, create bombs like an Iraqi
Swear on the Bible and then lie to Ecclesiastes
(Assault and battery)
Battle me, that'll be what splits you
Store enormous amounts of energy in a crystal
We boa constrict you, the gods are militant
You faggots couldn't go the length like you was impotent
You ignorant, your whole clique is split in half
You step in Allah path, and face Allah wrath, what!
[Hook]
Illadelph is like the Sun, 'cause we shine with rhymes
The underground is like the Moon: you only see us at times
And at times with light skies when the stars recline
Jedi Mind, Outerspace, coincide and combine
💯💯💯

Joey.. thank you for showing me this underground classic...
It was like 2005 I was in 5th grade at a Catholic school in New Orleans, my older cousins showed me "Servants in Heaven, Kings in Hell" and I was forever changed. Thank You. Still here 2024
I was 14 from Hampton Virginia starting high school when i first heard of Jedi. Peace and love. Still bumpin in 2022

Still one of the coldest beats ever made.
*" Beasts Deceiving us, way devious, possessing my peeps/Who walks the street, with stolen heat, like Prometheus "*
There was hella predictive programming, and symbology in that movie " Prometheus " ...
kai russell referring to Prometheus from Greek mythology, but that movie was fucking dope!
Rockland_ TriEye yeah I can't lie... The movie was pretty good. I enjoyed it, but its best to watch movies like that knowing that the powers that be are trying to influence you...
You can't fully appreciate the line unless you recognize that it's from Greek mythology and who Prometheus was. He was a Titan who was punished by the Gods for stealing fire (heat) and giving it to human beings. Jus Allah is one of the most underrated lyricists I've come across.
Some people are high, some people are low, and some are in the middle awoke and searching for the purpose
Ahhh the sweet sound of real hip hop 😌
Stoupe you are a goddamn genius... This beat and production is and will remain timeless. As far as I m concerned your production on the original albums is more than 50% of the reason JMT is still able to be on a label and make tracks today and not be flipping burgers at the local Mickey d s hustling fries and trying to get studio time.
This song deserves its place in the underground rap hall of fame. It's up there with the best. Take your credit stoupe you are one of the best in the game.

One of the dopest album can't go a month without listening to it
Classic brings me back to Middle school with my earbuds on
This song got me through some of my darkest moments after the death of my father 16 years ago. I can honestly say that about JMT and AOTP period. This track however holds a special place in my heart. I thank God for these men and the trials that they endured that made them capable of producing such moving art. Oh and the psycho social is still one of my favorite albums.
"Store enormous amounts of energy in a pistol,
We boa constrict you!"
