Beautiful Layout, Erin. I've been with SU for 4 years now, after decades (! lol) of scrapbooking. Now that CTMH and SU are one, the scrapbook itch is back!

you are so clever, as always. I have a question for ya. Maybe you'd even want to address it in a separate video? Anyhow, when you're creating not from a page, but just on your own, how do you figure what size to make your photos? I always seem to just print them 4x6. Then sometimes I trim them down. But I love the way you leave the white borders on your photos. So my question is do you plan out your pages before you decide what sizes to print? I'm pretty sure you do your own printing. I'm able to do that, but I typically just send mine out in the 4x6s. I also am not one that cares for really small photos, but I'd be fine with so sizes smaller than 4x6. ie/square format, or 3x5s or something. Any tips for me/us? Thanks!
Hello, those are great questions. I generally have an idea of my layout design before I print. I might use a sketch or sketch out a design idea. Even if I don't have it all planned out I like having a variety pf photo sizes to work with. I feel like having some smaller sized photos allows for better variety in the layout design. I tend to print my favorite photos larger which is 4 x 5.5 and then have supporting photos in 3x4 or square at 3x3 or 4x4. Hopefully that is helpful 😃

As usual, your layout is gorgeous and inspiring! If I tried to create my background on my own, it takes me a long time to decide. Using sketches or other layouts to pull from, makes it so much quicker. So, I really appreciate you talking through the reasoning behind your choices. It is very helpful. TFS
Thank you so much and I am glad to hearing the process is helpful. I do enjoy using sketches because like you said it does make things go much quicker. Sometimes I don’t even end up creating the sketch, but a sketch will get me started.

I loved this video Erin. I'm SO excited that you are using SU products. (In Quebec I've never had access to CTMH and was always "jealous" of your beautiful products! ) I am sad about CTMH ...but thrilled you are using SU products.) Did I mention I was excited? lol!

You are suppose to use the3D setting I heard another maker say it. In SU we used #4 plate. Regular embossing folders get two clear plates

Once agin, I love this! So perfect. Would love to know how you do the background lettering on your wording for beach days on the cricut. I can do the first one in white but cant figure how to do the second one in blue larger to match exactly. Cant wait to order this when the paper, dies and stamps come back in stock!

Running the paper horizontally looks like boardwalk…my OCD would prefer the colors to line up but still beautiful.
