Top Darya, thanks. Your instructions are so clear, it's a pleasure to follow you. I have just made a Fedora hat for my husband and he is very satisfied. Now, I want to try this hat for me. 😍
Very nice hat! The pattern is easy to follow and has no mistakes unlike some comments are stating. The rows go like 5SC 1INC 5SC 5SC 1INC so it's actually 10 in between to prevent the increases from stacking
I followed the pattern and ended up with a perfect bucket hat that looks exactly like the one in the tutorial video. Not sure what the confusion was regarding the pattern from some others who commented below but I gave the pattern the benefit of the doubt and I'm glad I did. I thought the video was very easy to follow. Thanks, Darya.
Thank you for your kind words =)
This tutorial works up amazingly fast and is absolutely perfect! I had no problems with it whatsoever. Thank you so much for sharing.
Your technique is wonderful 🙂
Thank you
Thank you so much! Love this tutorial and hat!!❤
You are so welcome!
beautiful hat. I love it . it easy and fast to make . thank you ♥
It would be very useful to see this steaming process as well.
I was showing how I steam my raffia hats in Fedora raffia hat Part 2.
Wonderful! Easy to follow
Thank you! 😊
Your instructions are very clear. Thank you
Lyn
Glad it was helpful!
Love this! Very helpful! 😊 Thank you!
Thank you ❤
On line 30 you sc 6 and increase as shown in the video but to be at 84 stitches it should be sc 12 and increase. Which is correct?
Can you show us how to steam the hat? I know you showed it in the other video but it’s a different hat.
I will try to make a separate video for that 👍
I ordered it see you in 30 days or more.
You are so talented
Thank you so much
Very good 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Great😊
Спасибо,хороший метод,вязала иначе,так проще. По краю возможно в вязать ( не уверена как правильно,ригелин,что то вроде толстой лески,держит край очень хорошо) . Спасибо за Easy on.
Love this. Thx for sharing ❣️ is there a written pattern for this..?
Thank you!
No there is no written pattern. But you can make notes and then follow them
Love your tutoriel, and I realy want to crochet this hat, but where can I find this kind of raffia that seems very flexible to me, all the ones I bought are very dry and I do not like it at all, I did a lot of feedback so the returns cost too much ... I bought from different suppliers and it's the same disappointment 😞 every time... I live in France .. Thank you so much !
I am not familiar with yarn stores in France, try to google WoolAndTheGang, their Ra-ra-raffia is really good and soft. One ball will be enough for this hat.
I previously used Fibra Natura Raffia, Yashi Raffia, they are soft as well.
Bonjour, vous avez trouvé du raphia souple comme ça en France ?
❤thanks
Bravo
Hi, I’m I have a problem, after the 3rd round when I have 18 st then I start with 1 sc then increase and so on and I always finalize this row with 27 st instead of 24, don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I have done tus tie for about 10 times and always finalize with 27 st… PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS… THANKS
Round 4 should be like this: 1 sc, (1 Inc, 2sc) 5 times, 1 Inc, 1 sc [24]
@@daryacrochetlife thank you for your so soon response… I’ll try it and let you know… THANK YOU SO MUCH..
Yes me too.. what I have to do?? Can I go on with 27 stiches???
Hi, I figured it, thank you so much for your response…
قسمت کاسه ک ب اندازه مورد نظر رسید و نیازی ب اضافه کردن نبود باید دیواره کلاه رو ساده بافت
البته کف سر هم باید کمی گود بشه تا قشنگ بشه
Hi!! if I need bigger size. How i can do? Pls. suggest me.
Where do you find it. Shipping from Turkey 30 days. Help from anyone. Thank you
Just fyi... a lot of yarn is made in Turkey, and is available in local craft stores. I don't know where you're at, but I buy raffia at Joanns.
Is there an online shop where I can buy something like this?
I don't sell this hat online, you can order it from me here, or check in-person my booths. I sell them in Toronto and in Markham
@@daryacrochetlife How much is it and how do I order? 🤗 I’m in the US
It's 80 Canadian dollars.
You can write me an email on daryacrochetlife@gmail.com and we'll discuss the colors, that I have.
Did pattern. Mine came out very big. How do I change pattern to make smaller?
Don't make the last increase row in the first circle, then maybe make less rows for the second part, and the third part start with instructions for last row of circle.

I will be making a comment with time stamps to help me as i make this cuz i keep messing up
what I don't understand at the different rows your increase, in row 5,7,9,11,13 ??? The total cannot be exact if you increase like that, you have more stitches ?
There are no mistakes in total number of stitches, those rows look different because you don't start them with increase, you start with something else, and then do your repeats.
My circle was big enough at 66 stitches- how do I adjust for the increases when I get to the brim?
Can you please tell me how to do my increases for the brim if I have 66 stitches total for the hat?
Bellissimo. Grazie
I'm finding this pattern difficult to follow. The row counts don't add up in the way you mention. For example most sequences lead to more stitches. please do not follow these steps but do write down pattern and make increases accordingly. This omission drove me nuts. For example round 30 she says sequence is 6sc/2sc repeat when its actually 12sc/2sc sequence to arrive at 84 sts from 78st base. Round 30or 31 she jumps to 2sc/13sc. its impossible to jump from 6sc/sc inc to 13sc/2sc inc. So if you decide to try this very cute hat-write it out and then work it out to save you the frustration.
There is mistakes with the rows and counting. It is difficult to do this hat. 😕
I thought I was the only one crazy about this tutorial. Thank you.
No, you have made a mistake. Maybe you skipped the video to watch faster. On even numbered rows, Darya staggers the position of the increase so that you get a better circle instead of an almost hexagon. So on row 30, it is 6sc/inc/6sc followed by another 6sc/inc/6sc.
Doesn't make sense at all
I think she just makes a mistake with her translation barrier it’s not six it’s 12 so it’s 12 single crochets and then increase and the next row is increase and 13 single crochets, etc. etc.
How many cm are in the second and how many in the third part of the hat. I'm working with a different kind of raffia
The second part is about 8,5 cm and the third one is 7 cm
@@daryacrochetlife Thank you 💖
Fifth lap to sixth lap, impossible to go from 30 points to just 36. In fact, there are 40 points. In case anyone got lost.
No, you have made a mistake. Maybe you skipped the video to watch faster. On even numbered rows, Darya staggers the position of the increase so that you get a better circle instead of an almost hexagon. So on row 6, it is 2sc/inc/2sc followed by another 2sc/inc/2sc. To get the stitch count, multiply the row number by 6. 6 x 6 = 36, etc.
I'm with you here. I got 40 stitches also. I've done it 6 times and still get 40
@@bridgetldo explain cause I get 40 also. 30 stitches. Every 3rd gets ND increase, that's 10
I redid 3x. Also get 40??
Same here
Is it paper raffia?
Yes, raffia is a paper yarn, so you should be careful with water
@@daryacrochetlife I ordered $75 worth of raffia yarn for my son. He wants the look alike raffia Prada bucket hat’s for a music festival he’s going to. When the raffia arrived, I thought I messed up. Thank you for reassuring me I bought the correct supplies.
@@jfro3685 NP, let me know if you'll have more questions on how to crochet a hat.
Ok so the numbers are indeed off 🙃
All numbers are correct. What round you think is wrong?
@@daryacrochetlifeok after watching it again a couple of times turns out i misunderstood round 4. Sorry. I apologize.
@@daryacrochetlifemay i ask what if we need a larger size than the one we end up at round 14? Is there something we can do?
It's a bit like you're deliberately misleading. Almost everything doesn't add up
There are no mistakes in this tutorial.
You are utterly ridiculous! You're getting a free, fantastic pattern to an amazing hat that YOU don't understand and come out with something this rude? The nerve! I've made 3 hats following this pattern exactly and they're perfect and so have many others. "Deliberately ..."! Unbelievably obtuse!
If you follow the tutorial closely, all the no of stitches are correct.
@@dellmktr4152 like many people in the comments, I have started over several times and instead of getting 36 stitches, I'm getting 40. really love this hat but if my numbers do not match the tutorial, I can complete it. And NO, I didn't speed up. I did another of her bucket hats and it came out perfectly.
