    Did you know that Mission San Juan Capistrano was once located about two miles to the east and that it was founded on three separate occasions? Here's a look at the little-discussed original Mission San Juan Capistrano.

    It's tough to tell the exact neighborhood you're pointing to, but that area was capable of experiencing huge floods up until a few decades ago.

      That's a good point, could have been a confounding problem to water access in general at the first mission

    The new Reeta Park has a marker where the first mission was. It off the Ortega hwy....sorry you missed it
