- Timelapse of the 23 bus route from Gloucester (Transport Hub) to Coleford (Angel Hotel) via Westbury-on-Severn, Newnham-on-Severn, Blakeney, Lydney and Bream. Like with most routes in the Forest of Dean, this route is run by Stagecoach West.
My opinion: 8/10. Like with many bus routes in the Forest of Dean, the scenery is spectacular, with the best section being in between Lydney and Coleford!

No worries mate! I've also filmed route 24 (Gloucester - Chepstow) and I soon also plan on doing routes 27 (Lydney - Cinderford) and 35 (Monmouth - Ross-on-Wye).

@@gabrielstravels you'll want to do 27 fairly soon as, if you haven't heard, Stagecoach won't be running it (and many other subsidised FoD routes, inc 24 in its current state) fairly soon. Not sure if another company will be picking these routes up unfortunately.

wish this was available in normal time rather than speeded up, I use the number 23 everytime I visit the forest of dean.Its such a lovely route.

I wish 23 would extend from Coleford to Monmouth...
Agreed, I also would extend the 22 too. Luckily the 35 exists, but the problem is that it doesn't go to Gloucester unlike the 22/23
35's timetable is insufficient (e.g. no sunday service). 23 extending to monmouth also has the added benefit of connecting monmouth with its closest railway station, lydney (as the crow flies).
@@amanda-we9fv yes that is true, although there is a Sunday service on the 34 so not too bad I suppose
