- The UR-210 by URWERK is for us one the coolest watch ever with its 60-minute retrograde hand and hour satellite time display, but this year they introduced a full engraved version of this watch and it became even more spectacular!

I love the engraving and mix of the old and very new....I can really appreciate the skill involved with designing and and actually making this piece;watch and engraving.
This amazing watch could be baptized as "Urwerk Paradox" because of many reasons: the passionate craftsmanship of a man and the cold cut by the machine; the religious baroque and the science of the space age; the art and the rationalism. Superb, utterly supreme piece. I can't imagine how much it costs... Thanks, Marc to bring to us this magnificent machine and all kudos to Urwerk and the fantastic engraver.

Urwerk mission is to cross the threshold of convention and forge a new trail in the market. The clashing of "baroque" engraving with such a high tech watch truly, yet jarringly, works ! Incredible piece. Thanks for the review.

Love how the body of the watch looks very man made but the movement looks like something you would see in sci-fi movies

Something China can't copy, always a good thing. They've gotten pretty good at copying. Kind of bizarre, since they're one of the primary financiers that keep legitimate premier watchmakers in business. So, obviously the copies are for people that want to pretend they have the means to wear such masterpieces. Really enjoy the work on the UR-210, spectacular.
this watch reminds me of england where the old and the new sit side by side, buildings hundreds of years old sitting by modern skyscrapers

No FP Journe do they own thing early in the year in Geneva during the SIHH, but Patek will come ;)

Seems like a weird combination, a futuristic looking watch with antique looking engravings, maybe I'm missing something but it just seems odd to mix the two aesthetics like that.
Understand your point of view, but they dare to mix and cross boundaries, part of who they are ;)
Crazy how people have different opinions. I love it for exactly how you just described it. The juxtaposition is what makes it great.
I can respect their design philosophy, but it almost feels to me they're trying a little too hard on this one. Just my opinion :)
the contrast between hyper modern looking face and the classical baroque style of engraving clashes. unfortunately doesn't work aesthetically.

There is nothing worse then a show that is paid by the industry that it supposed to be objective about. This is just a telemarketing show. It is so obvious when you "interview" this people that they are your boss. It is repulsive. But the watches are great.

Mohamed Kaafarani it's pretty common excellent watches from the best brands depreciate 50% from brand new boutique retail. For you to stay happy, it sounds like you're a great match for the pre-owned private party sale market and vintage icons so you have the lowest risk of depreciation.
