- The Rocket League Ranks are a mystery. Some people are platinum but swear they are better than their rank, while others say they are actually worse than their rank. Either way, it's fun to combine them into one fun, showmatch challenge. Each rank will go undercover as a special guest attempts to guess each rank. You can play along, watching each player hit mechanics and do challenges that will probably give their rank away. This is Who is Who #3d

But to be fair. Like what he said some practices other mechanics Better me than others doesn’t matter what rank. If the pogo was successfully done then I would’ve picked him ssl or pro.
Felt like this was the easiest guess the rank yet, there was a huge difference between every rank except for plat-diamond. The ssl and pro were kinda close but not really. Love these kinda videos tho!
The SSL was very solid in this video mechanic wise. Of course he’s going to be, he’s SSL, but the way he chain dashed and stuff, he has potential for sure.
I thought plat-diamond was pretty easy and a pretty decent difference

The low ranks were straight forward but the SSL and Pro were hard to guess. I for one chose Roadhog as the pro because he destroyed the GC in the 1v1 and had great mechanics,from zaps to chain dashes. Unfortunately the contestant thought the merc was an SSL so we didn't get to see the big 1v1 with x-devil.

I agree lol, I've played in diamond 3 before after tilting, and they can do a lot of what we champs do (I'll be it, less consistent) but the ranks decent, the guy in the video is no where near diamond 3 lmao, the back board clear is easy for anyone diamond plus
@@brotherhoodofsteel3090 I’m D2 and I can’t do the backboard clear (at least I can’t air dribble after clearing it, sometimes just one touch). I’m a mechanically weak player, I just have pretty good game sense
The diamond seemed to do a little worse than me and I’m D3 as well but I can’t comment on the plat but I think he plays like an average plat
Couple really close ones, but think I got them all. Thankfully, it appeared there were no "Freestyle Smurfs" in this version, someone who favors clips over wins, and thus is a lower rank but with much higher mechanics. Simple comparison of rank-warrior-style players makes it a little bit easier, though still challenging.
Tbh I got all except I had flitz as SSL and the road hog as the pro. Find it hard to believe you thought flitz was pro based off of that performance

Apart from the diamond and plat, which played like gold/ plat mechanically (I mean, I understand the air dribbling but even the swerving through cars they looked like low gold maybe plat) I was right about all of them except I mixed the SSL with the pro. The SSL looked really clean and consistent.

I nailed them perfectly! I'm happy, it usually doesn't go like that! But after the 1v1 i knew that winner was the SSL and after the flick challengue i knew who was the plat.
I thought the S devil was the ssl. Got all the rest right. It’s hard to tell with really high ranks if they are just messing around with all the unnecessary mechanics or if they are GC’s who are mechanical doing to much. Lol I chose road hog as pro because he had very little wasted movement.

He recoverd well, when he messed up on his clear, (excpet the missed musty) but the pogo recovery made it obv it was the pro lmao

@@wyattwilson2355 that's true but the "pogo" mechanic is becoming popular in the mata and now with pros, so that sold the deal with me when it came to finding out who the pro was. I knew from the beggining the X-devil was the pro though

If I had to follow the format of guessing every round I probably would have gotten breakout and gizmo wrong, but watching to the end it became more clear that breakout was better. Also bear in mind, it's hard to ground dribble in a car you're not familiar with since you don't know where the center of gravity is on the model. X-Devil in the flick round, I had a hard time telling if it was scuffed or calculated but started leaning on calculated, and either way no one really did better than him. In the air dribble rounds he was so smooth, and most pros don't have good pogo shots. Road Hog really popped the ball up with his first touches but it never strayed too far out, Merc's setups were never as strong. And Hotshot was clearly in the middle.

For me the drive through and flick challege tricked me into thinking x-devil might be a freestyler because he was showing off in the air but was having trouble on the ground.
Got all 6 of them right, even after taking a super long break it's cool that I can still recognize the rank disparity. Awesome video would love to see more of this!

Can confirm this works, I’ve tried other xp methods and this one is by far the best. Currently sitting at 542,000 and it hasn’t even been an hour.
Me in Champ 1 still trying to master enough car control to do double taps because I just boomed the ball towards goal. Not the most mechanically inclined player, but everyone has to shoot towards the same goal. If I am always in the spot to save the goal, no matter who mechanically skilled my opponent is, they are not scoring. In 1s, be the last to make a mistake. 2s and 3s, set up my teammates and wait for my opening to score myself.

breakout just shows you dont need flashy mechanics to get diamond 3 - all you need is the base structure to be able to climb

xdevil and roadhog FOR SURE above gc... or 1 of them might be champ but freestyler....
the way they air roll while boosting (not normal air roll), thats a GC or above type movement unless its a freestyler that has mechanics but cant rotate worth a silver.
my guy does a backboard clear flipcancel into a flipreset into a pogo and barely misses the musty finish!!

I got all of them it was easy to tell the pro as he hit the pogo and most pros still can't pogo consistently It was also easy to tell the diamond as he managed to flick it and it was easy to tell the ssl as he was wall dashing

I had gizmo and Barry down pretty early. I’m c1 and hotshot looked like what I’d do in freeplay so I guessed champ for him. I couldn’t figure out anything else until the 1v1. I guessed Merc as the GC because of how much space he gave to road hog on the first goal he conceded. I thought x-devil was the ssl and road hog was the pro, so those are the 2 I got wrong.
I got them all right.
Oh, and you should totally pick me to be in your next video. No real reason as to why, as aside from guessing ranks mostly accurately, I’m only a diamond or low champ. I’m also the least mechanical diamond or champ you will ever find. I can 1v2 diamond 1s though, which is neat.
For real though, just in case you thought I was serious, don’t pick me. I’d just end up embarrassing myself.
