Princess Cruises Norwegian Fjords: Ålesund, May 2024

For years, a visit to Scandinavia has been on my bucket list, and finally, in 2024, I was able to embark on a cruise to Norway. The itinerary had us down for 5 port visits and 2 days at sea, as well as some truly spectacular arrivals and departures later on in the week.
After our first port of Haugesund was cancelled due to poor weather, we had much better luck at our second stop, Ålesund.
We begin with the climb from Byparken to the top of Mount Aksla, with stunning panoramic views across the town and surrounding area. Following along the footpath along the ridge, we stop off at the Sunnmøre Museum (full video uploaded 20/07), before returning to the town centre. We conclude the land based section of the video with a look around the port town, before reboarding the ship for the amazing sailaway.
