- This is a 9/8 tune in F written by a favourite composer of mine, Mairearad Green.
It has been such a nice day today that I thought I would just have to get a video done in the sunshine. Shetland is tropical in weather like this, utterly beautiful! The video is recorded on my iPad so I apologise for the quality, I was too excited and just had to get one made immediately so grabbed the closest device I could!
I also apologise for looking a bit doom and gloom, I've had a trip to the dentist today so half my face is still numb! Haha! Hope you enjoy this video. =D

Superb tune, beautifully played. I know I'll come back to hear it again and again.
It's more a moment than just a tune being played. Love it!
wonderful... your music, your sound via accordeon, refreshed my lost dreams... thanks.
Hi Lana, I just watched all of your videos and you've inspired me to dig out my old accordion after fifteen plus years of not touching it. I have carried it from school in Peru to college in UK and US and now in cold Maine. You play beautifully and with such 'soul' not usually found in young people nowadays. Very likely you have been asked this before but do you have any suggestions on where to find sheet music for the songs you play? I have had little luck finding them online and transcribing the music is slow and awkward. You are such an inspiration and hope you'll continue to upload more videos. You've got a big fan with me!
Beautiful playing as ever. That melody is sublime and takes me places.
I like the use of sustained chords in the left hand-well done!
this song, OMG, its totally the perfect song to imagine the beaches and hills and greens from shetland, its the perfect tune to describe the areas from scotland with one song
Thank you! =] xx
Hi. I love accordion. It's beautiful song. I see it's beautiful place. Sea, sun, and sky. When I listen to this tune I start to dream. Thank you.

This brought a much needed smile to my face. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with the world.
Thank you! =] xx
Just lovely.
A very soothing piece, equally as pleasant to listen to whilst the rain and winds try to blow in my windows. You have always made it appear ridiculously easy to play accordion, which is, of course, the mark of a superb musician and I appreciate it very much.
Thank you! =] xx

Fantastic performance and a wonderful tune and a very nice accordion, but just wondering do you still use the fantini or did you change it for the manfrini greetings Edward
великолепно!
Lovely tune , well played Lana, where in Shetland is this?
Bravo from Australia 2016
Such a lovely tune, where did you get the music? 😁
really congratulations
Absolutely beautiful! Do you have the music for this that you could send me in a PDF please?
Kind Regards
Derek
beautiful tune (AND PLAYING) where could I find the music?
Yvonne Parkes passing places tune book by Mairearad Green
Since you obviously love the accordeon, you should know Luiz Gonzaga and Sivuca, two brazillian accordeon players. It would be very nice see you cover one of their songs. Search for Luiz Gonzaga - Baião or Sivuca - Feira de Mangaio. Keep playing :)
ах как красиво!
Is there any way or any where to find sheet music for this song? I could figure it by ear but it'll take me a bit longer than I'd like
Mairearad Green has a website that includes a store where you can buy "Passing Places", a tune book that includes this and several other fantastic tunes. not associated or anything, just a fan who bought it and am quite happy with it
bonjour j ai bien aimé a bientôt jcG

Each measure is broken down into three triplets that are an eighth note each.
