I think, at least for me and my 50 years of age, levant means the land around the eastern shores of the med, so like syria, lebanon, israel and maybe a bit east of that, but the area near to the med, as the rose of winds here says for that south-easyerly wind, the name is levanat, the wind that blows from that corner of the sea, persia and majority of mesopotamia does not count as levant for me, maybe i'm wrong but won't change my understanding based on one explanation.
Yes it is, around that area. Not sure if I misspoke in the video about the rough location of the levant, but if I did consider this a correction.
