  • In this video we show how we Calibrate RV Power Gear Leveling System. Have you ever said, "Why Won't my RV level?" Chances are good your Power Gear Leveling System needs to be calibrated, It is also known as resetting the Zero Point on the leveling system. The Lippert Power Gear leveling system is easy to calibrate and reset the Zero Point. Consider adding a LevelMate Pro to your rig for faster, more accurate leveling, in our opinion.
*This procedure will work for Touch Pad no. 500629 (140-1226) and Control Box 1010001284 and 1010002348. Your model may be different *

Chuck that was GREAT info, very useful. I have a 2016 Fleetwood Storm 35SK, my first RV purchased when I retired in April 2018 at age 70. It is very difficult to get info on the slide-outs. Nobody had any GOOD info on leveling the long slide-out behind the driver's side. When it rained very hard with the slide out I would get rainwater that the top rubber seal would not wipe off because there was a gap. I found this out one morning when I was starting to pull out of the RV site and all of this water pouring over the side of the slideout all over the driver, me. Turns out that there is NO adjustment to level that slide. I have done the rear and front Sway Bars with Roadmaster, what a job that was, done myself in April 2021. I replaced the regular water heater with a tankless one. Sounded great but if the water flow changes the flame goes out and you get cold water until it lights again, my wife always let me know when the water got cold. I changed it out to 2 electric, one at my wife's shower and vanity in the rear of the Storm and one at the kitchen sink that also feeds the 1/2 bath (that is my bathroom). I only stay in RV parks so I am always plugged into their electricity, so why not use it to heat the water. Takes about an hour to heat the 8 gallons at the shower and the 5 gallons at the sink. The Storm has the Ford V-10 362 HP, I insulated on the engine cover special foam used for stereo speakers and then insulated the underside of the cover this year with the special aluminum sound deadening material. I have added 2 small solar panels on the roof to help keep the house batteries charged when in storage. Last month I added 2 small LED volt meters near my control panel to give me the actual battery voltage and when the engine is running it shows the charging. The control panel has the flashing lights from low to full charge tricked me last year and I thought the batteries were going dead. I spent 25 years in printer & computer service and I never checked the batteries with a DVM, I just trusted the lights. Yesterday I changed the Transmission fluid and found out that I needed to do a fluid flush to get the fluid out of the cooler, which I did today. Just a little info about me so if I can very be of any help, then please contact me. I also spent my last 23 years doing kitchen & bath cabinet service for a company in Alpharetta GA, fixing things that other building trades messed up, or the installers messed up. I was sent in to make the builder or the homeowner happy.

Morning Chuck, Thanks for the info. and link. I have already watched the Air Filter Change video. I did my change the hard way, removing the 4 screws from the metal mounting bracket, after trying to push the cover UP. Sliding the cover back is much faster, and thanks for the view of the back of the filter box, and the info about the intake cover that I will remove mine today.
Enjoyed the video on the gas filter for the Onan generator.
Our Storm came with the double reclining loveseat, so much better than that 'L' shaped couch.
I installed the screen door cross bar last year, it is a great device.
I will be watching the video on the RV toilet Rebuild. I have the 'Vacuflush' by Dometic toilets. Our first year out they stopped working. I had to remove the complete system from the outside storage compartment. I reinstalled it on a removable mount. I got the parts from AquaStar Distributors, and they were very helpful in what I needed to purchase. I have all the parts needed to do the toilet rebuild when it comes time to do it.
Also looking forward to your videos on 'RV Dewinterizing & Sanitize", and 'Winterizing RV'. I have watched other people's videos and learned a lot from them.
Suggestion on the fuel filter on the Onan generator, you might offer the part number and maybe where to purchase. Other videos offer that info.

Wow Chuck this is the first time that I ever have received a reply from any youtube video, THANKS. I see that you have 150 videos. When I put in your name Get Gone with US, I get several of your videos then others, then several more of yours. Is there a way to view your list of videos??? I was looking for more info on the leveling system control panel. Your video was very helpful because I have the same system. I have several checklists while we travel, my wife made them for me, like "when turning check the rear end". I have a camera on the back of my tow car (2010 KIA Sportage 5-speed manual) so I can see the rear swing when pulling away from a gas pump. I have a list for "before leaving the RV site" (everything disconnected on the outside). Well, yesterday changing the transmission fluid I didn't have a checklist of what NOT to do after draining the transmission fluid before putting in the new fluid, like don't turn on the engine to retract the levelers, the engine oil is full. I started the engine and pushed the "retract all", then I remembered that there was no transmission fluid in the transmission, so I turned off the ignition key right away. After filling the transmission, I started the engine to finish the retracting of the levelers. They retracted okay but they will not go down using "Auto". They go down just fine using Manual, and they retract okay. So I was just looking for all the information possible to help me fix this problem. I am NOT on the road right now. Just trying to get everything ready for next Spring before I have to go in for heart valve surgery, and the big one, I have a 5mm bulge in my Aorta artery just after it comes out of my heart. They cut out the bad section and use synthetic material to do the repair. This is scheduled for January 6, 2023. Anyhow, THANKS again for your help.

Once I got it to where I like it. I turned off the pad. Pressed front 5 times. Rear 5 times. While the unit is in the off position. It took me to the calibration mode. Then I pressed all jacked up 5 times. And boom good to go. Level point centered. Cheers

I have control panel 140-1226. Do not know what module I have or where it is located. Your proceedures did not work on mine. Was hoping it would. Have a problem with frt lft losing level. All others seem to hold. Any suggestions? Thanks! Good video just didn't work for me.

Sorry it didn't work for you. Did you try it more than once? I would check for a leak if you are losing level. Good luck.

Tried 5 - 6 times. Followed instructions to the tee. How do electric levels get a leak? Solenoid going bad?

@@davidcagle5554 Sorry you only provided what control panel you have. The instructions worked perfect for us and others. You may have a different control box and need different set of instructions. Good Luck!

Hi I have a 2007 Fleetwood Bounder 35e with Power gear electric leveling jacks. I'm having a problem where all Jacks go down level but when you hit retract the passenger front stays down. Any advice?

Hi Chris. Are the shafts clean and lubricated? Is your fluid level full? Is it possible you have air in the system? Those would be the first things I would look at. We have a video about lubing the shafts... czcams.com/video/nCpHnFmp0f4/video.html

What if I have a jack that is not retracting all the way

Check your fluid level. Clean and lube the shaft of the leveler and see if that help. We cover it after the oil change in this video... czcams.com/video/nCpHnFmp0f4/video.html

When you started the video we’re all your levelers fully retracted when you first turned on the power button on the control pad?
