Holy batsmacks there Paul. That by far is probably one of the coolest plugins and ways to deliver a variety of content seamlessly. Haven’t checked ✅ out their paid plans yet, but hoping they’re competitive with Bunny CDN. Great video tut! 👏

Been using Cloudinary with Wordpress for years (combined with ACF). I'm a big fan of making your assets "site agnostic" (similar to concept of separating content from the presentation of the content). I have zero images in my wordpress media library and don't use the Cloudinary plugin. Instead all images are in Cloudinary which means I can use the same images on multiple sites (eg subdomains) and can transform my images on the fly by simply modifying the url. Can also change jpgs to webp by simply changing the url. Great review and glad to see Cloudinary getting some love.

glad to hear you've had success with Cloudinary! would be interested to hear if the plugin could help your workflow, such as the adding from Media Library like Paul showed, which might just make it a little smoother when dropping in new images/videos

That's amazing!! How can you attach images hosted on another server to a WordPress blog, for example?

@@samuelneves8043 for featured images I use a free plugin called FIFU that lets you set the featured image from a URL. For all other images I use ACF fields. Or if the image is in the body of the post you can insert the URL via the post editor.

Why is my deleted image link of cloudinary still working ? I had some issues in my backend code, which did delete the image but did not update the url in mongodb, and the deleted file is still showing.

Great video. I would love to see how someone would use this in their workflow. It has lots of cool features but what problem does it solve?

the easiest win is automatic optimization both from a delivery perspective and how the images are being loaded on the page, the plugin helps with both. this helps improve performance and the UX for your visitors
once delivering from cloudinary you also have the means of adding transformations, which could include cropping and resizing, adding text on images, and a lot of other creative and AI-based options
the higher level use case is decoupling your media, which gives you the opportunity to have more control over it. for instance, maybe you want to access images and videos on a different website or app. maybe you want a team managing the media library with some advanced workflows. this sets you up for more flexibility in how you manage projects
      Disclaimer: I work for Cloudinary

I was very close to purchasing Eagle based on a recent video of yours. Now I'm wondering if Cloudinary would be better? Actually, it seems like a bit more than I need... I hate decisions!

I guess pricing / pricing page was not to be discussed.

    • @WPTuts

Not at all. But, as pricing can change before or after recording, it makes more sense to me to direct the viewer to the site and look at current pricing.

Cloudinary is good, but god help you if you get to use the paid version, its ramps REAL quick.
