The Historic Old Well Inn Barnard Castle

The 12th Century Old Well Inn, formally known as the Railway Hotel and prior to this, a hostillery, is steeped in history. Beer was brewed on the premises using the well as their water source - you can see this on our live feed TV screen in the pub. Our beautiful beer garden is enclosed by the castle walls with stunning views over Barnard Castle. Regular live music and quiz nights are held here to entertain. We are a family friendly, pet friendly pub and you are always greeted with a warm welcome !
