Its certainly a perspective, but I would expect the same from any CEO. I'm certain if I asked one of the other CEOs, they would refute this. I'm not sure why I should believe Alex over anyone else. If the responses in the comments are to believed, its because the stock price is high.

The interviewer seems to not grasp that Europeans love to discriminate against US software developers at their own expense. They love to tell the US what we are doing wrong, but themselves fail in many areas.

Ughh i am a bit confused and overwhelmed by him, and i say this as PLTR investor… obviously he is a very intelligent person but he is getting so upset by simple questions and still not communicating what they stand for.
He is exceptionally clear about what they stand for, maybe not in this interview but there is no doubt where and who Palantir stand with.

come on man the guy is tasked with talking about something you cant talk about. do your due diligence and see the adoption rate from every corner. they have something unique and three steps ahead.
It's amazing how half of the comments are about what a genius he is and the other half about how much of a bullshitter he is. Is that a good or a bad sign?
I am curious about Palantir as colleagues praise it but all these interviews with Karp are just a lot of rhetoric and confidence, but I never get to learn much about the products.
no BS its cutting edge and he is not some guy who is going to waste his time dressing up for u. just know the software they have developed has kept this country safe for some time now and all of us have reaped the benefits without even knowing the advisories they have taken off the playing field along the way.

Honestly...it's a red flag for me. He can't directly answer the interviewer's questions. His hand motions were erratic. Him mentioning other people sell BS but not him/Palantir. Something stinks here, man. Just my .02.

As a leader, he needs to think about his answers before he gives them. He also needs to think about who he's answering to. In the beginning of their AIPCon he discusses no longer having a handler, maybe they should go back to that.

It sounds good but if you have to actually build anything with it, its underwhelming with a lot of limitations. There is a reason companies rip it out after a few years. Sounds like a typical “shitty” piece of DoD software to me. It’s not a competitive open market, so Palantir’s software can easily be “second rate” and yet still look “compelling”

Actually, it’s not that Palantir has software that is special AT ALL, it’s actually quite “rough” to say the least…. it’s just that when you put any mildly decent working software that isn’t basically 90’s FORTRAN code just ported to C/C++ next to that ABSOLUTE SHIT that most of their competitors put out there, it makes Palantir look good only in comparison.

A little unfair. Karp is pretty full on, and the interviewer was just trying to slow him down a little for the audience to catch breath, and I thought he did a pretty good job;. Managing an interview for an MSM audience like that not something you can ever really 'get right'.

He might be right, but its alarming how frustrated he gets by having to explain complex ideas to non-technical people. If he wants to get budget allocated to his projects, he's going to need to learn how to teach dummies like me about what he does and why it is important.

This guy is trying to conduct his own interview. And he's all about the share price.
They’re building software to replace intelligence analysts. That’s enticing to governments because it’s more secure than screening people. The effectiveness can be hidden behind “that’s classified”, which makes it easier to sell to non-technical government managers. Whether this is scalable to commercial, non-military applications, is an open question. None of what I wrote has anything to do with the share price, though long term this company needs to be able to grow beyond government contracts. I’m not convinced his song and dance will gain more contracts, though it probably pumps share prices in the near term.
I want to point out that I am the furthest thing from a fashion expert. In fact I'd say I don't care enough......but uhhh......

You disparage your competition's PowerPoint presentations but I don't see you bringing a demo to the game. Maybe you would fair better with a PowerPoint presentation because at least you would have something.
