Lure reviews might be my hands down favorite vids of yours, next to big snooks under docks of course
I use one of those with a small strip of crab flavored fish bites. The reds and black drum go freaking crazy over it.
All your videos I have come to find you are the master at sight fishing! You make it look too easy! Continue doing what you’re doing! Great material!
Salt Strong put together a good video on this lure. I would recommend checking it out. Best fished just dragging across the bottom by sweeping the rod tip, or a slow retrieve winding the reel.
Awesome video bro i love this type of fishing , i will definitely be looking into this lure for sure Justin thx bro 😎 💯👍🏾
Crazy action you got with the reds an drum love it
I wanna get a gheenoe so bad man every one of your vids makes me want one even more! Love the vids bro I can tell there’s so much effort in your vids that’s why I watch all of them no matter what and look forward to it. Keep up the hard work man, we all see it
I just bought a Gheenoe bc of his videos and I love it so far. I’m actually going fishing off it tomorrow for the first time
I have a fully custom center console lt 25 and tbh it didn’t live up to the hype
I caught a Snook one time that had 17 baby blue Crabs in its belly ! About the same size as that lure !
Love the videos as usual bro 💯💯
Here a new subscriber from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
I’ve been obsessed with your videos for the past week 🔥🔥🔥
You know probably the mangrove crabs fall from the trees sometimes and the fish are just waiting for that opportune moment.
I watch Richard Gene the fishing machine and he has a tip to keep your soft baits up on your hook. He wraps some tooth floss around the hook then a drop of superglue then slide on the soft bait and let it dry.
Works like a charm! Thanks for the great reviews.
Letsss goooo !!! 🔥 I have never had sheepshead actually hit one of those savage crab baits hmmmm !!
I just saw those at Man Overboard last week and almost bought them to try out. Definitely will next time!
The hook saver could be used like the rubber pieces on the hook of the NLBN mullet lures to achieve saving the crab from falling off the hook. Use a lighter to heat shrink it once you have it in place. If you think the hook saver piece is too big you could use scissors to cut it to an appropriate length. Also, you have a great channel here on CZcams! There are many of us that believe you should be getting more attention, views, likes, and subscribers. CZcams, it is time to bump him up!!!
I have these in my tackle, I just haven’t used them yet. Looks like I need to get them out!
Man you make me want to buy a pickup truck so I can get a gheenoe. Love what you do brotha would love to see a boat restoration series, maybe a skiff or even another gheenoe?
Thanks for the review now i can buy it 👍
You know you're a good catcher man when you count down the fish striking your lure!!! #letsgoJUSTIN
river was nice today wind was down water is cooling small trout and snook tight to the shoreline life is good nice vid bro
Justin , great video showing how to unhook your fish, keeping them in the water after a fight.
Really enjoyed the video.
Looking forward to getting a roundabout boat and get after the fish.
Glad to see you in the gheenoe again!
I’ve been wanting a gheenoe for 2 years now. I’m buying a truck first, but I’ve officially built a “gheenoe” out of a fiberglass canoe. I cut the back off at a bulkhead and built a transom out of plywood and fiberglass. 15’ 5” long and it holds a trolling motor well. 45 pound thrust should push me along just fine in the backwater!
You dont have a gheenoe. You have a flat back canoe. Gheenoes have a planning hull.
@@bipedalhominid6815 I said “gheenoe” in quotes because it’s similar to one but not one. I could care less what anyone says about it let alone you, I styled it after a gheenoe and it works for me.
I’ve been wanting to try something like that and see if it works for flounder because they love baby blue crabs
This is what I catch all my reds on the flats with. Great lure.
@@Gio-nl7eg you just lightly bump it across the bottom in front if the fish
Bro you must have like X-Ray vision lol. Look school of reds 3, 2, 1, boom… 💪🏻
I have one of these can’t wait till the sheeps bite turns on to thrown mine. Mine is just a bit bigger that way I can hopefully catch bigger crab eaters
I love your videos
I love lure review and I don’t use lures much
Yo I live on the Indian river love the vids man
Can you do a lure review on the gulp grub swim mullet
They make a bigger crab , that could be interesting around some bridges bigger fish 😳👍🏼
You should try Fishing with MirrOlure
I catch trout on those and it can catch snook, tarpon, red drum
Videos are great 👍🏽
Keep it up
Hey man, where you from I live in cocoa beach (brevard county area) looks super similar
I use light stuff everytime i go gotta work it right love light tackle
Never got the judgement people pass on catch and release guys. I dabble in redfish cooking. I have no problem with keeping a slot red but I also respect and take part in C&R. "Limit your catch don't catch your limit"-Zoffinger.
Iwoudl love it if you just did like a five min vid on the trolling motor set op on there PLEASE!
Savage gear crab sales after this are going to spike lol
You should throw this around some docks for sheepshead. That would be interesting to see. Do a fake crab vs real crab challenge
That red would be in my pan they are tasty!!!
Have you seen the “bestie bug” jig / lure. It works awesome I would love to see a lure review on that!
There’s nothin like a Justin vid on a Friday
I’m ordering some of the stickers to put on my yeti
Where are you fishing?
My guess is in the Cocoa Beach area (1,000 islands). Not a lot of places have that many tiny islands, plus the water looks mediocre in terms of visibility. Been fishing the Indian River (north of the Beachline) and it's pretty clear. The farther you go south, the water clarity has been declining...just my 2cents.
@@fishngh7471 thanks man, just trying to share my experiences with other anglers.
Nice review and video! I like your fishery, is that in Florida?
@@justin_menendez I’m up in the Jacksonville region, good fishing but different structures. I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Just ordered me some 🦀🦀
Youre supposed to leave it on bottom and work it slow. Just pitch it ip against the mangos or pilings n let it fall. They’ll usually hit it on the drop.
Awesome videos man, Im from Brevard myself and see you are killing it. I’ve fished that area and haven’t had as much luck but I’m glad to see there are lots of fishes moved in always a good sign. What’s your favorite artificial for snook?
@@justin_menendez thanks man. Love the vids! Youve taught me a bunch. Appreciate it!
You get that combo at tampa fishing outfitters?
does it come with the hook or jig head?
Hi Justin,
Great video bro , just wondering why don’t you use a net to get the fish into the boat especially if there is a chance to lose it ? W and wondering what part of Florida you’re fishing ? Thanks
I don’t use a net in my Gheenoe because it’s just too much to keep in the boat. I see it as something that will get in the way while fishing.
what glasses do you have cause i don’t know how u seeing all the fish in that color of water
Yooo do fly fishing
I’ve caught some of my biggest snook on the smallest pass crabs
I'd put a couple of those on a bottom rig and cast it into the surf on the beach
love gheenoe fishing!
Have you done any ultralight saltwater fishing?
Throwing 1/64th oz to 1/8th oz stuff, I ran into a few guys that do it for trout and reds and I have for freshwater.
There just isn’t much out there like this in terms of videos.
Not really, seems like it would be easier to throw a fly at that point.
Never seen redfish school 🥲 u gotta go to north Florida or mosquito lagoon
Can Anyone here tell me about brand and size of the crab jig head, please?
Where do we buy these lures?
Interesting to hear you’ve never seen the reds school up. Where are you fishing out of, kinda looks like Sebastian area? I grew up near Orlando and used to grind the flats in mosquito lagoon, the fish definitely like to school up more it seems like when working the flats, it’s a strength in numbers move is my guess, also the fish don’t gotta worry about having a big presence as they’re normally feeding on shrimp/crabs on the bottom. If your used to fishing mangrove bank lines I can see why you’re used to only seeing small groups of fish. You should def give the lagoon a shot sometime, it isn’t abnormal to come across schools of well over 100 fish, especially this time of year.
IRL and ML have had huge grass die offs and the the fish numbers are way down. Not sure how recently you’ve been there, but it isn’t what it used to be.
@@pdoty13 I fished there a good amount this summer but honestly spent most of the time catching snook, tarpon and reds in Haulover. I’ve fished the lagoon for the last 15 years and haven’t seen a snook/tarpon bite as good as this year on the positive side. The reds are definitely still there, but you gotta know which flats still have grass(not many) But youre totally right, many grass flats have died off, mainly 2.5 years ago, which sucks because the flats are my favorite forsure. I’ve seen flats die off and come back a few years later though so I am optimistic at the least. Tight lines
@@christophermarinel5080 banana rivers coming back, seems like everyone now a days fishes haulover and kinda...forgot that theres other places to fish...lol, had my best inshore day with a buddy not too long ago and was no where near haulover
I went out on my Gheenoe today. Gotta be the most fun cruising around in lol. Didn’t have much for fishing though
Ima friend said he’ll sell me his old one for $50 once I get my own place and everything I can’t wait man!
I use them for snappers
Where can I get this shirt! We have the same initials I would def buy one
If I close my eyes and listen to you talk, you are Lawson Linsey
Baitbuster next?
Anyone try these for Permit or Bonefish?
A dab of super glue near the lead will help keep that soft plastic in place for a bit longer
East or west coast?
I came across a school in Naples with about 100 reds
Louisiana has the best red/trout fishing
A huge sheepshead ate my spooltek before
Bro I’m sure you get this a lot, what boat are you in?
Baitcaster would Probly make more sense with a tiny lure like that and honestly easier to throw around those mangroves. Just my 2 cents.
I just bought one of these and I’m going out tomorrow for reds and drum
You can keep the Savage blue crab on with a small piece of rubber band
I'm not sure they are going to continue making this lure. They have a new one coming out that's fully molded without the jig head. I even called the company to find out and couldn't get a clear answer.
@@justin_menendez It looks a bit like the smash crab from chase baits if you've seen that one. It also works well by the way.
A drop of CA glue will hold it on.
Slide an eagle claw bobber stop on the hook to hold the crab in place, it’ll never slide off 👌
Your welcome 🤌
Second
y don’t you eat any of the fish you catch
First, can I get a cookie?
Make it invincible by tying 60lb on the eye as a weed guard..... you're welcome
Its lure not loo-er
Just a drop of super glue will keep the little crab in place. It’s worth keeping on the boat, very useful for lots of things
