  • In this video clip, i have explained that how a farmer 75 maunds per acre yield of rice Kisan Basmati 1509. He transplanted rice nursery at the age of 25 days from 05 Marla and 01 kg seed was used for one marla. At sowing no fertilizer was added, after 08 days of rice transplanting he added one bag of nitrophos along with 2 kg sulphur and 30g regent . After 20days he added 12 Kg Fipronil (Rafter Super) and one bag of DAP broadcasted. At 25 days after transplanting spray postemergence herbicide. At 40 DAT 01 bag of urea 8 kg soluble potash was added and 12 kg fipronil 0.4 % G added again. Obtaining the best yield of Kisan Basmati (1509) rice involves several key steps and factors that farmers need to consider:
Seed Selection: Choose high-quality seeds from reputable sources. Look for certified Kisan Basmati rice seeds that are well-suited to your region's climate and soil conditions.
Soil Preparation: Prepare the soil by plowing, leveling, and adding necessary nutrients based on soil testing results. Basmati rice thrives in well-drained soils with good fertility.
Planting Time: Plant Kisan Basmati rice at the right time according to your region's growing season i.e. after 20th June Nursery should be sown. Typically, Basmati rice is planted during the wet season, but specific timing may vary based on local conditions.
Spacing and Planting Depth: Plant the seeds at the recommended spacing and depth to ensure proper growth and development of the rice plants. Proper spacing allows each plant to access adequate sunlight, water, and nutrients. At least rice nursery from 05 Marla is enough to get good yield.
Water Management: Basmati rice requires sufficient water for optimal growth, especially during the critical stages such as germination, flowering, and grain filling. Ensure proper irrigation practices, such as puddling, flooding, or using drip irrigation systems, depending on your farming practices and water availability.
Fertilization: Apply fertilizers judiciously based on soil test results and crop nutrient requirements. Basmati rice has specific nutrient needs at different growth stages, so follow recommended fertilization schedules to promote healthy growth and maximize yield.
Weed Control: Keep the rice fields free from weeds through manual or chemical weed control methods. Weeds compete with rice plants for nutrients, water, and sunlight, so effective weed management is crucial for maximizing yield.
Pest and Disease Management: Monitor the rice crop regularly for signs of pests and diseases, and take appropriate measures to control them. Integrated pest management practices can help minimize pest damage while reducing reliance on chemical pesticides.
Harvesting Time: Harvest the Kisan Basmati rice at the right maturity stage to ensure optimal grain quality and yield. Timing is critical, as harvesting too early or too late can affect grain quality and market value.
Post-Harvest Handling: Properly dry and store the harvested rice to maintain quality and prevent losses due to moisture, pests, and diseases. Use appropriate storage methods such as drying beds, silos, or hermetic storage bags.
By following these best practices for cultivation, irrigation, fertilization, pest management, and post-harvest handling, farmers can optimize the yield of Kisan Basmati rice and achieve better quality grains for the market. Additionally, staying informed about the latest agronomic techniques and innovations can further enhance productivity and profitability.
