    Please Subscribe to my channel - I have lots of machines which means going forward I will never be short of content, lots of my videos are small engine related but I do have bigger vehicles to which I also like to work on and improve.
    JUST TO NAME SOME-
    2x Land Rover Defenders, Subaru Impreza WRX Turbo Wagon, VW T4 Transporter, Ford Transit Campervan.
    5x Puch Maxi Mopeds, a Lambretta Scooter, a Yamaha MX100 motorcycle.
    Also lots and lots of garden power equipment. All this will give me years and years of content, so with all that it makes my channel well worth Subscribing to 😀
    A bit about me I grew up around engine's as my dad was always a car mechanic and that's how I learnt about them and liked working on engine's. As the years have gone on my passion for working on engines has grown even more, unfortunately for me my dad slowed down working on cars when I was around 20 in the 90s, So the career I always thought I would have didn't materialise and I become a gardener, but what do gardeners use? Power tools so that's when I learnt all about power tools small engine, 80% of my work tools Mowers, Strimmers, Hedge Trimmers, Blowers were bought secondhand and most of them broken and I fixed them up. Most have been high end tools, Honda, Stihl, Kubota, Kawasaki, Husqvarna etc etc the list goes on I've worked on loads and usually managed to fix tools that were destined for the scrap heap. I have learnt so much and I pass a massive amount of that on in my videos, so watching my video could save you a small fortune in repair bills, so another great reason to subscribe to my channel.
    Going forward I have plans to faze out my day job and work with the engine stuff much, much more that's my dream, I also like restoring machines as well. So I'm always adding more and more tools to help me along the way. So the more support I have on CZcams means that my dream may come sooner than I think it will 🤞 I'll do my bit with the video if you can do your bit to help it could be a great journey forward, thank you for watching my channel I massively appreciate it 🙂👍

    That is something a bunch of folks never do and then the performance of the engine suffers .. Great share Luke !!

    i tell you what, youre a god send. diesel purged it changed filter and could not get her to fire, ran battery down - a couple of easy start blasts and straight back to life. had easy start but never entered my mind to use this top bannana🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

      Hi I’m pleased the video helped you, I always use easy start after I change fuel filters, it just gives the engine the kick to draw the fuel up, it’s always handy to have some easy start on hand 😂 Thanks for watching 🙂👍

    You don't need to bend out these little metal brackets, you can just rotate the connection after you undo the screws. In fact some of the aftermarket filters (like Ryco) have cast iron brackets which will break if you try to bend these.
    Also its much easier to fill the filter with diesel before you put it in the car.

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  Před rokem +1

      Hi the way I did this was what I found was the easiest way, Cast iron brackets on the filter are you sure🤔 that would imo be a bit overkill. Also it would have been much harder to fill the filter with diesel before. Thanks for your input but the way I did it worked well for me. Thanks for watching 🙂👍

      Hi Bruce, I I’ve heard you don’t get anywhere near the amount of diesel vehicles as we do in the U.K., we have loads and loads over here, actually out of all my vehicles only my Subaru is petrol. Thanks for watching 🙂👍

    Very good but how are you supposed to do it. I usually gently pinch off any flexible hoses with vice grips and or then block them with drill bits. This stops the fuel running too far back down the pipes. If the filter is full and the pipes were clamped off you shouldn't get too bad an airlock but can still expect a fair bit of cranking. Get the battery charger out if you have a weak battery.

    Hello Mate !
    Just a bit of useful information back at Ya's...! :)
    - spray "easy start" straight into air intake by removing the big rubber pipe that joins onto main 'air in' from the air filter.... then engine will jump into life...! :)
    - This also works as quick fix if you have run out of fuel and pulled air into system cranking engine on empty tank.... so long as not toooo much air in there ....!
    Happy 'Sprintering' ! Zander! :)

    My way to fill the filter back up is just bang a hand pump on the return side to the tank and just pump till it comes out a little, then put back together and it starts all the time every time.
    Just trying to help not stress the starter out too much bud.
    I had to do the same with a Mondeo diesel and S Max diesel

      Hi Your method does work at times, I’ve tried it on some in the past and it doesn’t always work. So nowadays I just fill the filter and use the easy start, I know the starters don’t like it but usually they start pretty quick. But it’s good you’ve put this comment as people may want to try your way thanks 🙂👍

    Looking at this after I realize my vehicle has missing hoses my plastic T piece on the vehicles side of the filter is blanked off both sides for some reason. I bought this sprinter not too long ago. any idea what the two hose pipes that's connected to the T piece is comming from?

    Hi. The last product you add for start the engine again, how do you apply it? I had the same issue that the engine started for few seconds, then turned off and didn't want to turn on again. I am completely new at diesel world.

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi I sprayed a product called easy start in to the air intake, it’s flammable and starts the engine briefly to help draw the diesel up to start the engine, don’t spray to much though just a light spray each time and continue until the engine keeps running. Hope this helps and thanks for watching 🙂👍

    For better video you have to show what brands your using and talk about pros vs cons of using cheaper filter guy!

      This video was a how to, regard filter brand that’s entirely up to the individual doing the job, whether it’s the cheapest or most expensive the job is the same to fit the filter.

    I'm trying to diagnose why my sprinter is not starting. It's been at the mechanics for over a month now. I was driving it on the highway then turned off for a quick break then it wouldn't start. I used engine start spray and it worked . I stupidly keep using it as a way to start it for two weeks then that stopped working altogether. Ps I took out one injector two weeks before and replaced the washer plus cleaned it up. Was working like a dream before this happened 😢😢😢 Thanks for any help in the comments.

    Not a good idea to crank it that long.

    • @menditman2004
      @menditman2004  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi I had to draw the fuel up as there was so much air in the system, easy start helped in the end. I’ve seen people crank a lot long than this trying to start diesels after a fuel filter change. It was fine but I was probably on the limit to stop and give the starter a rest though, thanks for watching 🙂👍
