Suspension is a collection of certain components that function to reduce shocks and vibrations that occur in a vehicle due to uneven road surfaces which can improve driving comfort and vehicle control. The suspension system has several functions:
1 Absorbs oxylation vibrations and shocks
2 Supporting the load
3 Maintain wheel geometry
4 Increases wheel traction
5 Continuing the braking force

With the elastic nature of the spring, the spring functions to receive vibrations or shocks from the wheels as a result of the road conditions being traversed with the aim of preventing vibrations or shocks from the wheels from transmitting to the body or frame of the vehicle.
Several types of springs used in suspension systems:
1 Coil spring, also known as 'snail spring', the type used is a compressed screw spring or threaded spring to accept compressive loads.
2 Leaf springs, generally used in heavy or commercial vehicles with a dependent suspension system.
3 Torsion springs, also known as torsion bar springs, are generally used in vehicles with not too heavy loads.
