3:42 is a lesson in wave management from behind. The waves appear neutral here, but it isn't. Even if Joey just stares at this wave, it is pushing towards Grux. The reason being that the wave is very close to Joey's tower. The next wave will arrive long before Grux's and get a lot of damage off. Grux seems to initially respect the threat of Joey's damage, but when Joey walks up, he just interacts for no reason. He's already behind. He doesn't need to win a trade. He doesn't need to interact with the wave. He just needs to back up and let the wave push towards him. If he did that, he would have a wave and a half, including a cannon, to farm near or under his own tower. Yes, Joey would have punished if he tried to freeze, but that's ok. He can farm under tower and at least stay relevant. All he would have lost was a couple melee minions. Instead, we see him take a losing trade which, even if the jungler wasn't there, would have lost him a lot of health and put him in a position where he risks an all in. Then, his bigger mistake is obvious. He steps back up for no reason at all, into a huge wave. That was just a suicidal engage. Not much to be learned from that.
That is really helpful advise, but i'm not sure if the cannon would survive. Both waves are quite close from damage output so the wave could probably be played that the cannon will be targeted from next wave and dies in the middle of the lane. Still grux should give up some farm there, especially if he knows that the jungler is close, what should be known from jungle pathing with the knowledge of Shinbi starting red.
Okay so it isnt just me having performance issues since the last patch! Some of my games are so bad now whereas before they were very smooth i wonder what they did in a simple balance patch to cause those issues? :/
@@hiimmarshmallow1222 i’ve only just unlocked kwang and has he been like massively buffed or something because i swear people just do not respect him at all. i’ve played maybe 6-7 games with him and haven’t lost yet. people just keep trying to fight me when they shouldn’t
This is again my GM account I normally go into Masters/GM's like Soulreaper, Pinzo, etc. But I think matchmaking is scuffed on and off in the last few weeks and this is the game where it was sort of weird unfortunately, but that is why I did a 2nd game
May I suggest using judgment crest. Also a sustain burst with 15 sec cooldown and small omnivap (4%)which helps with orbs healing ability over 3 seconds, fast attack speed with prophecy and with a squishy build. I like judgment because of the name with kwang judgment quote, plus the fast cooldown over the magic crest. Late game I go void helm over flux for more healing all sources but also gives magic defense. Then add fist and magnify for more healing.
I've always had frame loss on every update. It seems like the game has to reload every animation. Everytime someone uses a skill that hasn't been used since the update I get a lag spike. Even basic attacks. Once I've had every character in the game throughout my games use their basic attacks/skills I no longer have lag spikes. It's bazaar.
In the first match when he was lanning against grux, would absolution (I think that's its name) be worth starting with? Also when he touches on the game performance, I agree. The game feels worse than it ever has
Yeah just gotta play him a lot, I like the fact that he’s skilled based, but once u get a feel for the throw you can do it quick without them noticing that you’re about to do it which helps with them avoiding it
I never had a problem on controller, with alternate button setup (the Paragon setup). But like Howi rocket simply doesn’t work with that setup bcuz u can’t hold the rocket aiming button while having ur thumb on right stick, unless u claw but fuck that
And Feng mao ult on alternate is weird too bcuz u take ur thumb off right stick to hit triangle/Y and then you can’t adjust the direction unless u get thumb back to stick hella quick
I feel like the scaling build is just so much harder to make work, like you could have gone elafrost first then had armor and damage and regen vs the Serath and just obliterated her in lane By the time Orb even upgrades most games are decided in my experience ya know like 21 minutes into a game is a lonngggg time
Take short trades when you can, and respect her passive aoe damage unless you are ahead. She is a lane dominator, and hard to lock down usually due to her mobility, so you have to try and play around your team ganks to lock her down the best
@@motorboatmygoat6488 I’ve seen a knock up into a double pain and saving the pull for the attempted escape. Hell I’ve seen grux pull me mid blink animation or mid escape ability where I’m in the animation. Not a horrible rotation
I dunno i just think Kwang is over tuned. He does way too much damage for how tany he is, especially in the early game. Grux all in landing all his abilities and your health doesnt dip below 2/3 meanwhile he is next to dead after one combo?
Was painful to watch that Grux in the 1st game... How can you be Plat 3 and be so clueless. I get you're way above that in MMR but to pull the wave right in front of you with1/4 health while you're at near full is asking to be killed...
These two game bangers are hitting the spot, Joey! Thanks for the great content!

Honestly the biggest mistake he made was clicking accept

Been playing Kwang alot in Ranked and people don't realize how good he is rn.

Man that 2nd game should be titled "How to play around being hate crimed all match" lol
This game is literally resident sleeper rn and has abysmally slow development. Kudos to you still keeping to your grind, brother

Hows this build in the jungle? would you change something for it
Not as good in the jungle, this is more of a offlane build. In the jungle, you would need to swap the first 2 items with oathkeeper elafrost instead
Thoughts on Golem's Gift on Kwang, Joe? I've been trying to slot it in to a build basically since release, but it always seems a bit awkward.
Damn that grux was feeding so hard lol
Great game...grim just gave up and walked down his lane at the end...the devastation.
i just started picking up some kwang this week, im really enjoying him. how do you think he fairs in the jungle vs in offlane?
Ah I remember the day Kwang was released in Paragon and I annoyed everyone by playing him as jungle eventually it caught on

oh noes i had fun stomping kwang going elafrost first and you show the real build this patch :(
and love the name haha

I play kwang a lot in the off lane and I have trouble alot with aurora. And greystone later in the game the rest it’s up to skill level

Why tempest over typhoon?
Tempest provides a lot more value for dmg and heal than the typhoon with its conditional dash
